yep it was smokey but it was a really long earth, and yes deffinatly rats home as we seen loads on the lamp running up and down the hedge row the earth is in.

Me and a few mates off here went out ratting the other day with our new smoker, an old chainsaw engine run rich on oil, the only problem i it didnt seem to bolt the rats , we know there are rats in there, what advice can you give?

I think it looks better for shotguns aswell, i have best results just wearing realtree and sitting in the thin undergrowth.

I didnt really know where to put this topic as putting it on here could be a bit unfair, as me and a couple of mates off here were having a descusion on which method would produce more rats (dead) with a good set up air rifle such as night vision etc or a good pack of terriers i personaly said the terriers. What do you guys think?

I went out the other night with the shottys with the lamp to see if we could bag a fox, called one in stopped about 30 yards so me and my cousin both shot i had bbs and he had 3s only to see the fox was still running and my cousin shot it again and it was still running and it ran within 15yards of us and i went to shoot it and i had a missfire only to see the fox scramble into a bush i was gutted as it was going to be my first fox.

Me and a couple of mates off here went lamping with a red filter and the s410 last night , great fun we had 14 only collected 11, they were running on the gutters, has anyone else tried this if not give it a go its a good laugh.

Just wondering in the areas that have red squirrels how would you keep them out from going into a fenn trap if they are set for a grey tree rat?

Yep they loved it, my jackrussel had a nice bite just under her eye but it didnt effect her she loves the sport.

Me and a couple of mates off this site (3jackwhite3) and (jordshorty111)went ratting the other day with two terriers. Great fun only second time out.

If there are door ways stand gaurd on them because they will make straight for them.

Ive just got a 3/4 whippet 1/4 collie aswell , only 11 weeks old but shes a right little character. Ill try and get some pics up.

Me and a mate off here made a ladder trap using plans off here not long ago , they are the best way to trap crows in high numbers ,we had about 89 in a few weeks ill try and put some pics up.

Good wasnt it jord , we had it set by a log pile for stoats or squirrel but the squirrel beat them to it.

Thanks lads, stubby i said ratting the ferrets wont fit down all the holes with collars on .
