  1. Bull terriers with no nose and lacking gameness who the would out cross to one of those when there are plenty of game bull terriers out there with buckets of working ability.
  2. Lol Lol Lol bull blood has been added to working terriers for a long long time and by men who have worked terriers a lot more than most.i dont know what the fascination is in slagging bull blood be it either in terrier or lurcher if you dont want bull blood then dont bye a terrier or lurcher because if you look back along its lines you will sooner or later find it, there are a lot of lads that will need and use that bull blood to its full advantage.JMHO Dont belive everything you read lol
  3. Well the better lads Ive dug with have all been self taught and learned from there own mistakes,to easy to pick up a book go out a few times and then write your own book lol. The way we deal with our quarry and dogs has always been a question of personal choice and personal morals rather than a question of politics and legality. The killing of an animal wild or domestic will always carry an element of stress however we try to dress it up. JMHO
  4. Whos anybody to tell some one else what to do with their money.
  5. I bought a 1st cross beddy grey off dave emmerson a few years ago now and that made 24 inch to the shoulder.
  6. Ive owned a couple of Bullxs and seen a lot aswell I have found them to have very good temperaments.I have heard bullxs slated because of temperament problems and i cant agree. Now I have heard a lot of blokes I know say they would never have a wheaten x purely because they have a dodgy temperament .My question is to those with knowledge of wheatens and wheaten xs .Have they got a bad temperament in regards mainly to other smaller dogs?
  7. You ask for opinions ,take it easy with the bitch even bullxs can sour nothing wrong with early entering but it must be measured.JMHO
  8. nice compact bitch mate could come in handy.
  9. Was the 1st for me to bolt/find foxes in silage/haylage bales we had bushed and worked all cover and earths thourely on this farm/shoot the stack of bales was situated on a higher piece of ground well drained and in a bit of a sun trap.I think we probably pushed charlie in there while we were mooching about.I spoke on the phone to a couple of other terrier enthusiasts I know and they have never had foxes out of plastic bales either. If a fox is anything then he is adaptable and unpredictable.
  10. I heve seen a salukixgreyhound bitch, whos blood went back to the Lucky dog, take six foxes on the lamp but I thought she was the exception, its just that a pure saluki with those feathered ears etc wouldnt attract the attention to an urban based hunter that a bullx or other types might.
  11. I have always admired fox killing lurchers to me they are the ultimate in running dogs,my question is how usefull were/are pure bred salukis for the regular taking of fox and if so what lines or strains would be most likely to produce decent fox killlers.
  12. Stick a nicce track dog over that beddy bitch
