thanks , i have added the correct measurments (they where right but i checked) they feel better in the hand than they look so gotta be happy with them . if you look at the tanto it has super subtle curves to the blade spine . thats from the water quench . its how all japanesse blades are done . the tanto and katanas are straight right up to the point they are quenched , as the hit the water they warp . this time i was lucky and got the subtle curve you would want !!! could have gon wrong and bannanad !! tanto sold thanks -
two blanks to start with . both made from files one a farriers file so its thick ! (hunter) forged on charcoal and worked by hand from there . the tanto is 4mm thick and has 5" long (blade) the hunter is a blade lenght of 4" long . they are both heat treated and tempered so will hold a good edge " both roughly sanded after heat treating to give you an idea , they both woul;d look good finnished in 400gr , but i took it higher for the pics . i want £20 for the tantosold and £25 of the hunter . these are all advertised else where so if you want them pm and i will let the first to say " i

something new from something old (knife)
midnight replied to midnight's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
hi sorry no i dont have any leather , i need to order some my self . the blades oraginaly comes from an EKA knife so it will hold an edge very well . yeah it could of had an extra pin or lanyard hole but i could not get a drill through it and its not 100% essential as its apoxied and the pins are beaten to round off the heads , i dont think it really needed the apoxy if you know what i mean ? thanks again guys . i might sell this one but with the original sheath reshaped and hardened to fit , the sheath has some wear but is still better fit/quality than the one pictured . £35 post if you -

hello guys , this is a new knife made from and old damaged knife. i wanted something unusual , with perpose , not to flash . and came up with this . the pics dont show it but it is usable in two holds . one just holding the wood for small cuts sticking etc , then for controlled cuts involving more pressure etc you can move the hold forward . it is very very comfortable even tho it looks like it should not be . polished finnish that should with stand use as its stainless steel .

thanks guys , i know loads of lurchers can do it . i was thinking a dog more capable of the larger fallow , and one that would not bruise the meat as you said . me and a mate argue this question all the time , i was thinking a big dog 25+ with a brain that would learn how best to tackle them with minimum fuss , so my thoughts where collie grew. but my mate thinks its more a bull x job . the idea with the pair would be for the larger fallow bucks , but other than that not worked as a pair . just in this imaginry world there would be two dogs so one was fresh for the next slip , my mistake i

i agree i think its a badger .

pre ban type question so lets not worry about that 1 ok if you where to breed a litter of consistant venison lurchers , i mean that being 90% of what there catching what would use . id like your thoughts on hights and builds of animals that have or would excell at this . including a pair of bitches that could work togeather. but there not for rabbits etc
