  1. Its a KC registered Bedlington, goes to ground does rats and has attitude of if it moves kill it, my kids called him Dude as a Pup and it has stuck.
  2. cheers firthy. he'll do a great job for someone. would keep him but have a bedlington dog and don't like to keep 2 dogs in the kennel. ??should I sell the beddie?? :clapper:
  3. 8 week old dog pup, pick of the litter. Sire KC reg Oakbark bred whippet 20" to shoulder. Dam 25" 3/4 bred greyhound. Both sire and dam are blessed with a lot of pace. Located in Northumberland £150 ONO Can deliver within reason
  4. Ditto Bigbird, I just keep myself to myself, I hate going out with anybody and I could not care if there dog can make a cup of tea as long as mine do what I want. I have just sold a Pup to a boy from a local town that gave its name to a curly coated Terrier and when I said I wanted to meet at a local Garage he was more than happy as he said he hated people knowing he had dogs??
  5. My Saluki Whippet Greyhound Molly she is 8 years old and we have been out tonight and she has run her socks off, over the years has done the lot. God I do love her company..
  6. The Ariel ends do work on an 8 foot ferret finder. I thought we were going to have a TIPS and Advice posting thread. When I fed whole carcusses in the winter I put them in a lawn mower tyre and the ferrets have to go in and eat and can not drag them until they have nearly stripped them. We should do this and anyone with the most sensible post of the month the Moderaters could give a prize to......... :clapper:
  7. I thought brain deads were going to be banned from posting if they had nothing constructive to add to a thread. No wonder we lose good dog people from this site when a dog boy bad has no BRAIN. Labs have the power of all the gundogs and that is why shooters like them for the versitility they have against the head strong Spaniels of the shooting world. One little comment a Lab will never out run a Bedlington and will not have the turning ability or the tenacity of the Bedlington. Oh yeh LONG LIVE THE WHIPPET>>>>>>>
  8. Staffy you have a PM if you reply I will send you the copy of her pedigree. Thanks
  9. Sorry for not getting back to you, been busy. I am still waiting for the papers to check her breeding. She caught a long ear's when out with me but just stood with it? her recall is good though. She is fine around hens cows and horse's but has to be watched with sheep she is from a farm and will have a run at them but pulls away with a hola at her. I will chase the papers again tomorrow for you. Cheers.
  10. I will get the papers tomorrow and have a look, thanks for your interest.
  11. Putting this up for a Lady friend. 2 year old past May Irish Wolfhound Bitch for sale cost £1400 as a pup. Big strong bitch 30" TTS mobile and agile for her size has done a little work with me, but is game to chase anything that moves. The lady has split with her husband and will have to downsize her house this being the reason for her sale. She will live in or out but do not forget if you want her to live in she owns the COUCH. She has a lovely nature and I will try and get a Picture up on Wednesday night after I go and see her. We live in Northumberland and the price is £450.
  12. Got pulled the other week, but the Copper came with his lights on and parked next to the field I was in so l crept along the fence and waited, he had two crap lights facing the field but could not find me as l had my back to him. Then he came to the fence and stood on the bottom rail I said "Hello" are you looking for me " he nearly s**t himself".. I showed him the permission letter and then he was OK about it. He did say if you take a vehicle don't have dogs and your catch in it if you have been Poaching as they have been instructed to take the dogs and the vehicle to make your life awkwa
  13. The old grey matter has been working again??? Was it not the Northumberland and Durham Lurcher Club??
  14. Hi all, they used to hold meetings at Ashington but I can not remember where, never been but I was invited about eight years ago. The Boy that used to run it I think runs the Bullcross show at Pontop? I might be wrong on that mind. I will have a dig about for phone numbers.
  15. We have a Sun Room where the dogs go, its the back porch too me though. Tonight I sit on the hard kitchen chair and the Bedlington and Lurcher are sharing the Sofa, I get sick and end up outside with the other Lurcher and her pups in the Kennel, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO IS THE boss.
  16. Undisputed, are the dogs looking after your Handbag in the picture? they so look as if this is my couch and the answer is no we are not going out in the Rain. My Lady has a Jack Russell Pup who has chewed the tail off a Rat from IKEA so is she some Tough Bitch now??? If we did not laugh at some of these POSTS we would cry :wallbash:
  17. Unless it is sensible or constructive why put it in Print? The Run looks spot on for the money.
  18. Hi These are my latest additions born yesterday. Dam, Saluki Greyhound x Beardie Deerhound Greyhound and Sire Whippet. All the brindle colours are bitches and the blacks and black and whites are all dogs. Has anybody had this before?
  19. I had an ex track dog and her only problem was no field craft, the best thing for the dog is dont run it if there is a chance of coming to grief as they have an excellent prey drive and will stop at nothing to get at the prey ripping skin and getting knocked up, they do harden off and then become a superb hunter usually with a good nose. A little warning watch them with sheep as they will chase anything that moves including the family cat. Good luck with him as he will be faithfull and very loyal..
  20. Just a thought? Should we not be using Ian Hodge Fieldsports for our equipment as his advertisments support our site.
  21. I had Derek call at my house today and leave me a Lure, he is a top bloke.. Thaks again.

  22. A Wilf where we live is a name used for an out and out W@@ker. Make do with what you have for the Ferrets and change the layout around as they love to explore. ATB
  23. My Saluki Whippet Greyhound has had a few Birds including these, Geese, Pheasant, Woodcock, Grouse, Partridge, Ducks, Pigeons Feral and Woodies and my Guinea Fowl. The best though was when my Bedlington pulled a rabbit from a drain with a Weasel on and was more intent on killing the Weasel and ended up loosing the Rabbit.
