  1. my dog has damaged a toe and is constantly lame for days now. The vet I have used for over 20 years has just retired and he was fantastic with feet.Went to a local vet , they said it needed an X ray, £ 150 quid.

Does anyone know of a decent foot specialist in my area. Im 20 minutes from liverpool, 45 from Manchester.

Phone Belle Vue track and ask which vets they use and for contact details

  2. I THOUGHT BEES WERE PROTECTED HE JUST NUKED THEM BABYS.. :gunsmilie:

So is killing mice with dogs isn't it?

Yep and I would think a size 10 on the head would be frowned on as a humane way of despatching rats

  3. flying winner whos trained close to me outstanding bitch :clapper:

We recently had a half brother out of the same dam sent to us, he is only young but looks very promising especially when he is stepped up in trip,

still running very green but had one win so far and won`t be long before he puts a few more on his card

  4. Spanador WTF??

why not just advertise them as what they are either Labrador x Springer

or if you have to use a name "mongrel" is the name that has been used for crosses for years

Does that mean that nearly every add on here is wrong ?? and they should read " A big mongrel for sale, could have long legs and run fast," or "A wee mongrel for sale , might fit down a hole in the ground ??"

Lurchers and terriers are types that are recognised for what they are but yes in essence all mongrels and most ad`s state bullx ,saluki x or collie x, and not being advertised as greybull or greyuki`s or any other bollox the word lurcher is known to mean a crossbred of runnning dog and another breed , the reason the spanador and yorkipoo and various other bullshit names have come about is so crossbred mongrels can be sold to gullible Joe public at inflated prices , if they were advertised as mongrels worth £50 tops advertised as "SPANADOR`S" suddenly they are £200 , the labrador and spaniel are bred for very different functions so the crossing of the two is not really desired and if the cross has been made so as to make a more versatile allround gundog why not just breed a HPR and get proper money for a proper breed,

not saying these pups aren`t going to make good dogs but why the need for bullshit names they are crossbreds thats all there is to it

  5. started life looking like a merle (on top)

    20thjuly2008008.jpg

i would suggest she is still a merle even if the markings have faded and if you decide to breed from her would be decidedly wary about using a merle stud over her ,

nice type all the same ;)

  6. Took the 2 smooths out for a cool down on Thursday at the local nature reserve :whistling: :whistling:

The old girl can`t take this weather so left her at home but the other 2 enjoyed themselves

Sorry for all the pics I got carried away :pix

  7. Sounds like she has started to use her nose "on the lamp" as well as in the daytime, it often happens when you use a dog more on daytime rabbits she is more used to hunting up in the daytime and trusts her nose more than your lamp, either keep her off the daytime rabbits and just use her for lamping or vice versa

  8. IF YOU HAVE A DOG SLOW OUT OF THE TRAPS, TRY GIVING HIM A NATURAL YOGURT NEXT TIME OUT. AROUND 250G, JUST BEFORE HE RACES,

AND WATCH HIM HIT THEM LIDS !!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are racing NGRC and can get 250g of anything inside your dog just before racing the paddock stewards want sacking

  9. iv seen alot on this site, but havent seen any nice blue coloured ones. so i put this post up lets see sum! any (pre ban) pics would be nice atb lads

  11. Warwick was formerly a flapping track but after being closed for a while was taken over as kennels and schooling track by a NGRC trainer I believe,

Demulder has been out the game a while now

  12. Good choice of words to use.......'slaughter'...........

Yeah well we have to laugh about it! We want somewhere 'deep' in farm land with no roads to worry about. Also looking to learn more about working them. The saluki x is a stunning specimen of muscle and is a very adept hunter....even things she really shouldn't but no one saw so .....PHEW!

My first piece of advice before you venture anywhere near farmland is make sure your dogs are 100% STOCK BROKEN then and only then consider taking your dogs and letting them off in the countryside also make sure recall is spot on as once your dogs see stock or happen upon new scents they will be gone possibly never to return

  13. 3/8 Collie 5/8 Greyhound would be my choice good rabbiters, kill foxes and can course the odd hare.wahtever you choose make sure its the right desicion and suits the ground you hunt and what you want to hunt
