There are 2 excellentTFH events approaching soon, just outside Tiverton.... OK I know its Devon but its the right side of Devon for Somerset! next Friday is their lurcher terrier race night, loads of racing as well as bbq etc. Then on bankholiday monday its their BIG terrier lurcher and family show.....and I mean BIG!!! cool ill check it out

i just got a patt bitch pup the weekend now i wanna kennell it with my 5 month old lurcher bitch. problem is she wont leave the patt alone! just wants to play but is way to heavy handed!! she paws at the pup who is a quater of her size and also nips at its legs which hurts her. the pup tries to bite back at her trying to defend herself. so i now have the pup indoors which i dont want. was thinking of halfing off the kennel so they cant get to each other????? not sure what to do anyone else had this problem??

lol no i wont be, dont really want the patt catching anything anyway, well maybe the odd charlie if it has to wants it just to get in the bushes and flush em out for the lurcher

looking to get terrier to work the work cover do some bushing with, i've always liked the patterdale but is it any good for this job or purely a digging dog?

same here.never let my off a public park.. everytime i go to the park near me its pricks with staffys running wild, no obedince put into them or nothing, prob only walked once a week! the last pup i had over the park got nailed by a jack russel on her first walk out, did the woman try and pull the dog off...did she fook! dogs lucky he didnt have a size 10 straight up its rear, same goes for the bitch walking it

thats why i never let my dogs off the lead in a park, too many muppets with aggressive dogs. i let mine out in the fields where theres hardly a dog in sight.

excuse me mate but last time i checked my age had feck all to do with the way how a pup is brought up, and you need to shut up chatting shite bout stuff you have no idea about! i can honestly say that when i look in the mirror i have nothing to be ashamed of, yea i'm a young mum, i'm self employed and work hard to provide for my family, i bond with my animals, train them well in ways they understand! so i don't know what it is that your suggesting that i need to look in the mirror about YOU however write on the internet about smacking an 8 week old pup that you have not spent any positive

I appreciate the apology, i thought that maybe if i didnt show too much affection towards her she might not call out for me as much. theres nothing more i would like to do than roll around in the kennel and play with her believe me. and also when you say hit it sounds harsh but i generally me a little tap on the nose with two fingers. i love dogs, and would never intend to hurt one. i was just asking for some advice thats all. the howling doesnt bother me much. ive been up and in the kennel at 5 am since ive got her which i dont mind at all, its all in the fun of a days work of owning a pup. i
