  1. I use a s and b 8x56 on my .222 for the similar ranges. PERFECT
  2. I mostly hand feed too. I have had trouble this year with the wind and the pheasys not hearing me whistling does anybody use a dog whistle or anything? Andy

  4. I use a .222 for all my vermin control take foxes out to 200 yard comfortably but shooting over that in the lamp they start to look real wee!!

  6. I left school at 16 worked on a gamefarm and shoot for 3 years then went to sparsholt. I'm now an underkeeper in sw scotland. If you can get a summer job on a gamefarm then go to college the more on you cv the better. I dont now why i got the job but 300 people were in for it! A

  9. I agree with wag. For best results feed every day with a little, much better than once a week with a whole bag. Andy
  10. My beat is a bit too far from dumfries. Theres plenty of shoots near you though tried Raehills? Also alot round Castle douglas. Andy
  11. Actually the weather was fine for most of the time , a couple of nights was horrendous though . Did you get a guide or just on your own?   14. I'd go for tikka mounts bit pricey (£-£90) but i've got them on both my work rifles (.222 and .22) and they get throwing about alot and still dead on. Andy

  17. Alright everybody? Just looking for advice on what to have in my 1st aid kit for taking with me when I'm digging to my patt. Just got my own dog this year i've done plenty of digs but never with my own dog. Andy
  18. yep we only do wild duck £45 pp mainly mallard teal and wigeon. Andy
  19. just looked at the ballistics for the 204. very impressed! I would go with it seems v flat! dont know what the wind does to it though? Andy

  22. 2nd and third year birds are fine just down to weather and predators
