  1. Still doing the leatherwork mate, been mainly focussing on bags & done a couple of leather bottles (fully waterproofed). Theres not much in the collars now, nobody pays for your time. Been having a look at some of your photos, your work is coming on well. Ive also been doing quite a bit of restoration work - shoulder of mutton repairs, doctors bags even cartridge belts. You should try your hand at a leather bottle. Dave
  2. Deffo a good thing for air rifles & possibly .22 but I think for centerfire you need something solid plus the 750 is interchangeable between rifles. One thing I wonder about the yukon is how you adjust the mag on it, i.e.when zooming in for those close up head shots! Dave
  3. Aye, scottcountry did that weeks 'test' with the pulsar 550 when it first came out - never heard of anyone getting their hands on it though. The yukon is actually a pulsar/yukon combo. Remember though, either one you choose (if its a proper digisight) you'll have to forget all your scope memories - its a sight, maybe the better term for them should be image intensified display units - but that would probably not aid selling!! Dave
  4. Looks like itll be a ratter only - detection up to 190m! The pulsar 750 is miles better than that, plus with these front mounted units you have to make sure that the unit is lined up exactly. Its horses for courses - if its a pocket reason go for the front mounters but if you want something more then go for the digisight or if you can stretch to it a DSA Dave
  5. Mrs bought me one for chrimbo!! Absolutely love it. You have to leave behind all your thinking of 'scope' work & learn to use it as a sight, the IR is amazing. The 4 batteries supplied will last me about 4 hours (using full IR) & all night using stage 1. If you want to know anything else let me know. Dave

  20. New in - figure of eight slip leads. Slip lead & halti in one! Ideal for training. Thanks for looking. Dave
  21. Apologies for not mentioning their ages, the JRT is 8 month & the 2 pats are 9 month. Recall & other training has been done on lines, both on their own & altogether, the thing is, the wire haired pat is great when she is on the line even with the other 2 with us. I must add that this one is the one that pulls like a train when on a normal lead. The smooth pat is great on the line, again with the pack and alone. The JRT on the other hand is a little b45t48d!! Pulls on the lead, totally ignores you & generally gives you the 2 fingers - I put this down to him being youn
  22. Hi folks, Looking for a few tips/ bit of advice. Bear in mind I'm used to the type of dogs in my avatar (large staffies). Ok, so I've got 3 terriers, a JRT & 2 patterdales. (these have twice the attitude of the large dogs). I'm looking to use my dogs for bushing & ratting & would like to let them off the lead(hence the topic name). The JRT is out of working stock & nice & steady although his focus is on prey & quite stubborn (8month old dog). The 2 patterdales (both bitches & litter mates). These 2 are out of a family pet but the prey drive is of
