  3. yeah 2 was better than none, back out the morn on the flightline again so hopefully we will bag a few more then hopefully the wind will keep up so they dont go too high
  4. not looking for much? i think you will struggle to find a docked pup from working lines that is kc reg tbh.
  5. Theres not the numbers there used to be say 10 years ago 10000 on a loch was the norm now id put it at 2000, there was a lot a few weeks back but with the mild weather a lot to off over to orkney. hopefully once the wilder weather returns so will the numbers of geese. one plus side up here they limit numbers and the tie thewy have to be off the field, so people dont go crazy and slaughter them. who needs more than a couple per gun anyway? how is it local to you?
  6. just back in, we got it wrong decoyed a field of stubble and nothing showed so towards the end of the flight we moved to under the flight line ended up with 2 geese, so not all bad, oh and a cheeky phessie the reason the frogs and southerners ae coming this far north is the price they can get shooting for £25 a gun compared to £100-200 a gun further south.
  7. the very one wilf, poor show really, that poor cockney lad had never been out of the big smoke before, how was he to know it was a whippet cross he was buying and not a deer/saluki? i heard that was the first time he had seen green fields was when he came to pick up the pup? poor little cockney lad
  8. ok was due to shoot a stubble field tomorrow that i have been watching the geese flighting onto for the last few days, only to discover that the farmer has given it away to some french lads for big bucks no doubt he has said i can try anywhere else on the farm, but i watched all the other fields today and only one held geese and only a small group of about 20, the rest either flighted off the loch and went elsewhere or landed in the field i was due to shoot. Now my dilema is do i set the decoys up in the field that had the small amount on and try to call them in, or just try and shoo
  9. Hope you have a good few days, as i said to mik try and get up if you can, but i think by the sounds of it your a bit pushed for time as it is? ps dont let tigger catch more than rosie!!
  10. lucky sods i dream of having day like that, thanks for sharing.
  11. will do, all the litter are very similar in shape, they have the same build and outline the only difference is coat and size, some were 24-25 tts and some as big as 29 tts fiac is about 27 tts and has a broken coat, which is the size i was looking for.

  15. not at all skycat, i had a wee fiddle with them after i posted them, it does look better lightened that pic was the first i took on the night, i thought huh this is easy lol, it all went down hill from then lol. i cant see what the fuss is about bigger dogs lamping her height has never bothered her, shes plenty agile enough, and has speed to burn, makes it look effortless. you can see in the pic how she will twist and turn anyway to make a catch.

  17. had a wee run out tonight as fiacs cuts seemed to be healing up nicely after her collision with the barb wire fence, so thought id try her for a wee spin, 3 of my mates came along so i thought id Make use of the extra hands and take the camera, not great pics but ill keep trying, its bloody hard in the dark ended with nine out of ten runs was happy with that considering she has been laid up for 10 days. YIS TJ
