  8. I tried these in my Ultra Multi Shot and found the groupings weren't to good over 25yrds and they can get jammed in the breech.
  9. I use Crossman Accupels and have had excellent results with them so I would imagine that the Verminpel is of the same standard.
  10. I agree with good field craft and always go for 20 to 25 yards.
  11. I've got an Ultra Multi Shot in .177. Its a great rifle and I've had great success hunting with it.
  12. It's good price for a great rifle . I had one in .22 but found it a bit heavy to carry around for a long time. I use both calibres for hunting and have had excellent results with both.
  13. I'm with you on that one Sean. It's unfortunate that we live in a red tape society.
  14. Such a shame if these tickets go unused, will pop em in the post first class to whoever wants em, still time to get em to you.

  16. I think that the XL and the Tactical XL are bothe excellent guns. I've a great deal of success with my XL. Your boy is going to be really happy.
  17. I think you should take a look at the BSA Lightning XL. Its a fantastic rifle and in my opinion an ideal all round gun.
  18. Nice work . With a bit off luck I'll have the same sort of result tomorrow night.
  19. I've Lightning XL myself and I'd say you cant go wrong with one.
  20. Excellent, there was me thinking it was just me, thanks for the heads up.
  21. Have just logged on and noticed that the format on the board has changed. Was there a problem with the old one ? Just finding the new one a bit difficult to navigate.

    .177

Just recentiy got myself a .177 bsa ultra multi shot and found my accuracy has really improved and it does just as good a job on the bunnies as my .22 lightning xl
  23. Thanks for the answer. I use Accupells in my Lightning XL so I think I'll give them a try.
  24. Hi All Just got myself a BSA Ultra Multi shot .177, and was wondering what the best pellets for this particular rifle would be. I have got some Air Arms Diablo Field pellets that were part of the package. I would be grateful for any advice on a better pellet. Also curious as to opinions regarding hunting with .177 calibre air rifles.
  25. There will always be the debate between springer or pcp. Personally I prefer a springer as has been quoted you just cock the spring and shoot, and you haven't got the added expense of a pump or dive bottle. You could always go for a rifle fitted with a gas ram, for example the Theoben Evolution. Sorry to throw more confusion on you
