i do see where you are coming from. you mean for mos of the shooters out there they need as much pattern and power as they can get? without taking the piss out of them if you understand. as i suppose most people are average joes in the standard of shooting. i do shoot a 410 and nothing else now really and i would say i could hit anything anyone else can with a 12 and probably more, thats why i sitck up for small calibres i suppose as to me they are the bees knees and takes a lot off marksmanship to do something a fella with a 12 could do easy. as for the 8/10 crossers that has supprised

And I suppose you don't belive in Santa either. Tut tut It is on shot size, velocity, energy, shot count, choke, barrell length, load The data are in mixed places from your own software you can download from various US universities/private locations (as the UK is too tight to support any research of this type but there is a good group at Cranfield), you could speak to various Ballistics specialists at proof houses. Some of the data has come from the UK via BASC and some of those results are published in their annual reviews, but they are still working on 20g so it is not published yet. B

I too would like to see driven shoots accept a S/A or two......... they did up north near Inverness for the release of a new Benelli, it was in one of the magazines. Too much gun snobbery about. If you are talking about the science of 20g then you can object all day long if you wish, it wont change the facts. Occassionaly knocking birds out the sky is not the same as 90% predicted lethality-at-range (see CONSEP or BASC lethality tables). For the "above average but not exceptional shooter", if you want an all round er, buy a light 12g. I expect we would agree once we see what exceptio

i have a lot of work for myn,i gell with some i dont with others and that can have nothing to do with work ability, then some make or progress well and others dont,if they dont should i just keep them anyway????? even some top breeders keep 3/4 pups out of a litter then only end up keeping one back and outing others,i cant afford to keep none workers or dongs i just dont like, they work to my standards or they go. what is the point in having a pre ban fox dog that wont take foxes ect dont make sense,i see that some people have them more as pets and they are there freinds and they put up with it

Wilf, this is not a critique', but how many dogs have you went through, until you have got the dog that is "up to scratch" ? Is a dog that may not be the "ideal"; not good enough to be given a permenant home ?? I am a person who has spent a lifetime looking for the "DOG", but am sensible enough to realise it ain't gonna happen !!! Cheers. Its a sensable post........to be honest, I have not gone through many (1 or 2).........but I belive that there are certain things you want your dog to do, there is one main criteria........it may do lots of other stuff well, or to a standard but it ma
