    if a terrier doesnt work below ground and stay untill dug its NOT a working terrier, lurchers ,hounds , springers etc hunt above ground and thats their job so they can be regarded as working dogs but a terriers job is below ground. that is WORK for a terrier , anything above ground for a terrier is sport, simple as that. Sorry Dev, But you are wrong if a terrier works it is a worker. If I work I am a worker it is as simple as that. Terriers were not initially bred to hunt below ground this was a trait brought in later. Work is work just because you dont rate it does not make it wrong

    Not wanting to jump on the wagon here but ,, i tend to agree with you there Keano the judging was poor,, but some of the judges comments were MENTAL to say the least !! Statements like (i'm judging this purley by age ) nothin to do with the dogs looks or breed,, just there age ,,is pretty poor !! Then to see Corgy's beat terriers in a working dog compitition come on now !! And then to be told ,, NICE PET!!!!! Mite just be me and sour grapes but to see a terrier with a well worked face should i say,, to be told nice PET and then not to be placed !!Thank god i only took lurch

    I was there 1991-1993 i also had a placement but the guys who didnt had to work on the collage farm until placed. Your right it wasa good time.I am wondering if i went at the same time as you.I continued keepering for a further two years then got into pest control which i still do.Good luck with your keepering i was to think the excact date i thought 1990,,,,but thats when started my placment,,,it was febuary the next year i went to elmwood,,,which was 1991,,( i think ) i cant remeber all the guys i think there was 17 guys in class when i started they had already did 4 weeks of

    I have two side by side shotguns for sale,one is a sidelock.Has an ejector with 28 inch barrells.the other is boxlock non ejector with 28 inch barrells.Both guns are for sale and am open to offers.Need to free up some room in the cabinate.Any interest pm me.These guns must go.CERT.HOLDERS ONLY!!!!
