    just before i sell my goldfinchs (if i bred them) i send some random samples off for testing they test for cocci,worms,parasites and megabacteria well worth the money as it give the buyer peace of mind,also a major killer in goldfinchs is stress (hopefully in the next few month i will have a article in cage and avairy on siberian goldfinchs)

    the most import thing is get the bird in a warm place i.e house or hospital cage,when a bird is ill i feed high fatty seed like niger and hemp and a special sunflower from italian these are small and brown my first response is to treat with baycox and baytril together this way we treat for quite a few ailments and baycox is only a 2 day treatment compared to many other anticocidial products. also check his droppings this can some times give a good clue common in goldfinchs is megabacteria this is a fungus not bacteria best treat with Fungizone (Amphotericin or intrafugal which is for cats bu

    hello for many years i was involved with hunting /ferreting/shooting/terriers/lurchers/gun dogs etc its been a few years now but still have 2 gun dogs. my 8 year old son wants to get some ferrets and i have told him if he can get some permission he can have some,hence i am looking for permission to ferret for rabbits for him with me. i am fully insured by sacs and worked on a farm so respect all live stock and land i would like my son to be a proper boy like we all used to be learning about the country and animals not sat on computers and games. anything durham/yorkshire/northumberland as

    as far as i was aware when the vet docks them they also have to micro chip them as part of the exemption at least thats what the vet told me when i had my litter docked they also had to be chipped

    i,m from durham and tried to get my litter of ess docked 2 years ago i rang every vet out the yellow pages many said it was illigal and i told them it was not as my dogs were exempt, only one would have done them if i had being registered with them for 2 years, when you have your dogs docked you have to also have them micro chipped !

    hi can any one tell me if arthur nixon is still breeds and works russells i acquired a russell many years ago which was suppost to be bred from nixons stuff it was a good strong bitch with and excellent working reputation locally and stayed with me from 6 weeks old till she passed away. i would love another good strong russell.
