Its not a case of comparing it one to the other, your air arms silencers might be fantastic, mine are not and i have compared them to the tiny parker hale silencers, and if that is quieter, then mine sure as hell can be! Portland Jon i may just be in contact!

Ok i shoot 3 Air Arms one s200 and 2x 410's and i need some advice Since i have bought the guns i have only used airarms silencers, and i have come to the conclusion that they are useless, A friend of mine uses a parker hale silencer and its tiny, but compared to the airarms it is whisper quiet, Does anybody use something different, i need it to be quieter and im not sure what to get just yet! any advice would be much appreciated

I would say use Marpat the digital American woodland pattern, Its ideal for most of the UK, and its not expensive really in comparrison to some of this other stuff on the market, Its what i use when im hunting if thats any help

I asked a similar question a while back now and i found that i can use the same cartridge for all my shooting, in a 12g i use 7.5 blue diamonds they are the combintation that suits me to a tee and im very confident with them, swap me over to a different cartridge of a 6 and it tends to screw my shooting up! So my only useful piece of advice is find a cartridge that suits you and use it!

Ok my mistake ok i shall add a flapper to the trolley as well real birds for that me thinks! yeah i use 6 32 cause they are nice all rounders 5's for high birds and crows is prob not a bad idea! 7.5's i use blue diamonds for all my clay shooting but i might test the theory one day!

Cheers for the replies guys, I do have a flapper i invested in one of these new airpro with the wings that spin on a pole!!! However due to a minor technical issue (the fact that im an ass) the wings were not spinning so it was just bouncing in the wind fortunately my mate has no issues with spending a few quid so will buy pretty much anything that might be useful so looks like that means a rotary too. I have plain grass to work with grass mud and maize, and a cow or 2, i would love to sit under the flight path but i have a public path which nigh on follows the bloody flight line

Ok I now have crows to deal with and i need some top tips, I have 12-15 decoys and all the hide bits and also a predator enticer (feather duster on a stick) and the enticer works a charm it doesn't bring them in in flocks but it does bring in one or two at a time, however i really need to be seen to be doing some good work and at the moment the crows seem to be getting the better of me, there are power lines that run along the site, and then take a sharp right on the neighbouring property. the first time i came there were hundreds sitting on the powerlines on his land, which is why i

I guess the tape recorder part is the electronic callers classification..... cause its all i can find does anyone know why its not a well published piece??? sporting shooter you seem to know alot about it got any ideas? and why are calls allowed just not electronic ones... sorry for the continuos questions it just worries me that i have been using an electronic call and had no idea...

yeah ok i knew i was going to get an answer similar to that! I have looked through the general licence's and no comment is made on the general licence as to using electronic callers! as usual it seems a pointless legality!

Im jumping in on a thread here i know, but why can we not use electronic calls for crows? and if so why on earth can we buy them in most gun shops???

Ok i have recently been asked to deal with a minor crow problem, However its not that minor there are well over 200 odd birds (and the rest) battering these fields (some 90 odd acres), My main question is what to do with shot birds, i dont know of anybody who eats crows, and even if they did they would only want the breast.... so what do i do with the rest of it? Bury? burn? leave for foxes? and taking them to the local tip in black bags is most definately out!!!! Advice would be much appreciated as im only used to shooting animals that can be eaten! That is the same company i have been looking at, i will have to give them a call. I found nothing on the web seperately for a 20g so im not sure. drilling holes in my barrel will annoy me but i could get over it! Im surprised nobody has brought out a kit, there are kits for the .410 but not for 20g!!!!

Ok, i own a 20g and a couple of 12g's so i dont want a hushpower or for that matter a .410, but i want to know the legalities of putting a moderator on a shotgun, and has anyone done it on a 20g? My Main point would be that it had to be removable! (hence why i need to know if anyone has any experience in this area!) the 20g in question is an Escort Magnum 20g 24inch barrel with synthetic stock. Its main use would be for Rabbits when ferreting and mooching around. Cheers in advance, Matt

A couple of us went out yesterday, Hit the fields around 2pm got a couple of pigeons, then we split up and took different parts of the wood, where most of the local woodies normally roost and got nothing. Dissapointing really because we normally do alot better. Left about 4pm cause there was nothing flying!
