wow,they look fantastic,i think if i was minted i would like to colect hoods. i see some of them have snake skin,it would be good to have a hood made for your bird with somthing it had caught its self,mind you not many snakes round here thanks daz spar i am not having you havnt had a go at making one

mate i wouldnt offer to pay anything,and i personly wouldnt write to them either,the best way is to see them face to face,9 out of 10 times the farmer will be busy doing somthing,offer to help him and talk to the bloke, i read something like this a while ago on one of the forums. go to the farmers house and knock the door with telemetry in hand,say your hawk has dissapeared across his land while chasing a crow and does he mind you going to look for it.you will be suprised how intrested he is in the hawk, telemetrty etc,when he says yes, off you go.we all know you havent got a bird yet but h

.. i was a little bit lazy in finishing the larsen trap's as i did not want to buy the mesh and i could not find any for free.. .. the best thing about it though is i spend a few quid on the spring's.. .. When i get 2 min's spare this season mate i will deffinetely be rigging a few up and i will keep you posted .. .. Millet oh ok thanks for that

i am not going to say whats right and wrong mate just what works for me, get a call bird from a different area than your working in. put trap under a tree where there is a nest,or along a hedge. make sure call bird always has clean water,and food i use rabbit,doc,or dog food also sprinkle some bread on and around trap.i never put anythingin the catch side(sides) if i dont catch anything in a day and a half two max i move the trap,sometimes only 100 yards. you have been given some good advice above just try some hope it works out for you. thanks daz, ps ive caught one within the hour of

as i say cool that,i once went out with a lad and his fhh(hunnting obviously) and he was in a right mess trying to trade off the morehen she caught,took him ages and then she was fling at him even almost trying to get into his vest shame cause i thought it was a good flight.

i sort of touched on the subject on my bow thread, who uses a loop leash with a button(nick fox methord) i think its called. would be intrested to hear peoples views for and against thanks daz

not to bad for a first atempt, just got to get some end caps for it to finnish it off, i put a swivel on incase i decide i want to use a loop leash bith a button on it.maybe thats another thread i am sure there are many who do and dont like them,but i think they look neat,cant be picked at like a knot,and its never to long like you see in some pics, thanks daz
