  2. Do most of my lamping on my own, and believe me i know the colour of fear (BROWN) !!! Theres been a few occasions where the old imagination has made shapes and shadows into ???? ....... Theres one time that sticks in my mind, before you read on lads- im not a believer of much at all ! I dont preech and i dont worship ! But i saw what i saw , looking up at the stars one night whilst fumbling with fox calls and bullets in my pocket.... I noticed one star that was shining much brighter than the rest... The clouds were moving so occasionally the stars would dissapear and re-appear but this one

I visited an old friend of mine for our yearly trip Roe stalking last fri, arriving early afternoon (Perth, Scotland) i had just enough time to get full on pub food and ready for our first stalk. I was hopeing for some early success for the weekend so we could have a few beers and smiles on the first evening, but the weather and luck wasnt on our side !! So our first morning stalk came around on sat, we set off around 04:30hrs to get there just before first light. Alrit buddy..... just to make everyone else aware too ! ive got around 1000 acres of land between north wales and manchester, i have this permission purely for shooting (Foxing,rabbting,pigeons & crows etc) and do some stalking in scotland. Got a few much older friends who have terriers/ lurhcers- they arent as keen as they used to be Im very keen to get out with anyone whose willing for a days ratting ? nights lamping ? and the rest of it , love being out with the dogs
  8. Alrit Lad's, have been juggling my job (HM FORCES) with my hobbies for the past 7 years... I really wish i was in the right situation to bring on a couple of dogs, want to get out more with anyone who's willing- is there anyone in the north wales/ manchester area that is in the need of a spare spade, a couple of ferrets, or a gun for the day ? (A shot in the dark ) Bunnyspotter....
  9. Well the rabbit who's mind you can read ! I honestly think the bullet must of just touched the top of his head/ eye lashes.... and the speed & forces that the bullet make whilst passing through the air are what did the damge tbh ! and for any wanabe boffins out there that want to tell me im wrong its back legs were also broken !!!???

  15. No scraps from the butchers and the chest freezer is nearly empty !... Only one thing to do, get out the REM 700.... Had two brilliant shots and one miss, one at 260 yd & the other nearer 300 yd ! Video on profile of both hits .

  18. Hi there... unfortunately i dont own my own hound- although a good friend of mine uses his dog for blood tracking and scenting whilst out stalking ! Of all the working dogs and hounds ive seen i will admit that these hounds are in a legue of their own

  20. With all the snow and plenty of charlie prints around the farm, i thought it would be wise to start baiting up an area.. My bait is gone in the mornings and im going to carry this on for a few days to get the old confidence/pattern on a high ! Whos had any succes with this method and what were your average succes times of day/evening ?????
