    Hi all, just an update.I have had this rifle for over a year now and still really like it a lot. I have not modified it in any way and it is as out of the box. It is an easy rifle to shoot well with a pretty good trigger (pulling at 2.6 lbs out of the box and very smooth), accurate, lightweight and utterly reliable. I now have the benefit of hindsight and purchasing this rifle was a good decision and I would do so again absolutely. I use an inexpensive but very good Hawke Vantage x2-x7 32mm A.O. scope with an illuminated reticle. I sometimes use a SAK moderator on the gun, a ve

    The T1x is a good rifle.Some of the lads in one of the groups I am in love theirs.I am glad yours works as it should.I would have one if it were not for the 457. You are correct about the 1416 bolt Phil, very stiff and difficult to work.Yes, would not have another 1416.

    I am impressed with the 457 trigger.Mine is still at the factory setting and I probably will keep it this way.Yes, my Annie had a good trigger, but the 457 trigger more predicable and for me, easier to use.

    I agree with Villaman Phil in that the 457 is NOT the same rifles as its predecessors (455, 457).I would have a Tikka in a heartbeat if I did NOT have the 457. My previous .22LR was an Anschutz 1416 DG, which was a good rifle, but in my opinion the 457 is easily as accurate as the Anschutz , but the mechanical function of the 457 is superior to that of the Anschutz. The 457 also has the feel of a very modern rifle.

    Yeah, a good gun, shame they use a spring assisted type of extraction system though, unless I am mistaken.I am sure most Tikkas do not have this problem though
