  1. We always joke that he is a rabbit/hare cross. He is a cool rabbit but not very bright seems to like the dogs He was the size of a normal wild rabbit when I got him. God knows what he is
  2. I know the rabbit is huge i rescued him 2yrs ago from a dingy smelly hutch, he was about 6mths old I thought he looked like a wild rabbit? Anyway he just kept growing
  3. Some pictures with his new hound family not the best all of their back end
  4. thought I would show you some pictures, still no name He is an amazing pup so clever, he sits recalls to the whistle and learns so quickly, gave him a treat ball and he worked out in seconds what to to He is a well adjusted confident boy, wish I had space and money for his brother too He got a little lurcher collar today
  5. I had a deerhound/greyhound x saluki/greyhound I didn't work him but he was a great dog ran well, was so easy to contral perfect recall. Would have been a great worker, I could see the potential
  6. pup I collected form Hpool hunter off of her on saturday chilled already;
  7. Good to hear your dogs ok! Here a link to the healing effect of Manuka Honey!! My friends a vet and said the surgeon she worked with in a specialist clinic swears by it http://www.manukahoney.co.uk/therapeuticuses.html
  8. A week after asking about January Jack my boy died out running Hard blow to take, RIP Dino thanks for all your reply's I enjoyed looking up the pedigree of january jacks breeding!
  9. Kate, it is clear that you have no respect for dogs. Please leave us fanatics to it then. Ah,totally & completely & 100% WRONG AGAIN!!! & as usual. *I* know & understand & respect dogs as the fascinating species of animals they are; *you* "wuv doggies". There's a vast difference, thank goodness. If only fanatics didn't try to force their fanaticism on others... & "sentient"-as in "conscious"? uh huh....unless they're UNconscious. My dogs are treated like...gasp...shudder....dogs. How bizarre! and what does 'treated like dogs' entail?
  10. Kate, it is clear that you have no respect for dogs. Please leave us fanatics to it then. I am with you on this one! I feel for your dogs, sentinent creatures treated like robots form the sound of all your posts! I would rather be a 'fanatic' then anything like you!
  11. I have just lost a young lurcher(running accident) whose dad was January Jack. He was a wonderful dog, I didn't work him but that natural potential was there. He was very easy to train, amazing jumper and very obedient. All he wanted to do in life was please me. I would love to have another, like lurchergirl said, a bit of Dino. But it would be a great waste for me to have such pups as pets. Who ever gets these pups are very lucky, be good to them!
  12. Nice looking pups I am tempted after recently losing my lurcher out of January Jack but I think they would be wasted on me as I don't work my dogs!
  13. Can we see pictures? I just lost my 3yr old lurcher from January Jack lines, he had an accident running! Would love to see pictures of the parents and pups.
  14. Friends of mine moved from scotland to the states with their lurcher and terrier. When their lurcher died they had trouble finding another lurcher. All the greyhound rescues and lucher said the dogs needed to be muzzled and kept on lead all the time
  15. Would that others could manage to do the same. im all for a good debait and like to voice and hear opinions from all,but when you sink as low as you have with your sly, belittleing and snotty remarks picking holes in any comments that dont meet your ideals or approval tends to make me think that you have not a clue about the average joe doing his or her thing there way.no one is trying to force there opinions on you all there trying to tell you is that you are a stuck up old trout who talks to people like there something stuck to the bottom of your shoe,or are we not worthy of that either,
  16. Happened to a friends gundog. Took ages to heal but the dog is ok now! Good luck!
  17. Loads up here in scotland. I am contantly removing them from the dogs My OH had one last week and ended up with a bad infection, needed loads of AB to clear it!
  18. keep coming back to have a look at this dog, he is one nice looking dog!!
  19. Thanks this is really interesting to me, find out a bit of my boys breeding! The Dam was a Deerhound/Greyhound and this is what my dog looks like He is a good dog so easy to train with great recall. His litter was a bit of a waste they all sat in shed for six months, the guy didn't do anything with them and then they all went into a lurcher rescue I don't know what happened in the first 6 months but what ever happened has had an effect on him and there are times when life is a bit too much for him. He can't handled 'hard' or he falls to pieces. I think it is good he came to someone
  20. My lurcher had KC and he needed AB as it can lead to something far worse! I agree Benilyn helps and I also gave him Honey. He also needs to rest his dog!
  21. A bit like his son then No I don't know what my dogs like as I don't work him Thanks for replying, would be good to see some pictures!! Just thought it would be interesting to find out about 'Jack'
  22. Anyone heard of this line? Oh well it was worth a try
