  1. Until you decide to lamp the 3/4 whippet on stoney moorland type of land
  2. Two dogs there I had from pup saluki x bull types.. you could put them into any situation and they’d handle it well.. not saying any other type couldn’t just the man has a point a bit of bull blood can go a long way.. same for any cross added depends on what the dogs purpose will be ?
  3. Don’t be daft there is no way I’d go back to a bull cross.. when I was younger yes times change I’ve no use for one now a little bit in the mix wouldn’t do no harm?? I run what suits me and the ground I run on. End of the day everyone has there preferred cross and I don’t need to say mine as you’ve already said it ????
  4. Old school type., I remember a mate had one very similar stamp to this blue and white collie greyhound.. has to be one of the best rabbit catchers I’ve seen in the lamp ?
  5. Just abit ? the ones I’ve had have been good allrounders so you have a point there
  6. A smaller runner suits me just fine ? don’t need nothing to big round here
  7. Commented on this dog yesterday on another thread. Absolute cracker.. true to type built well real nice sort ?
  8. Beauty of a dog well built bet he could mop the rabbits up
  9. Got a passion for this cross and be interesting to see other lads dogs.. and hear your opinions on this type ?
  10. I think aswell when you have one from generations you get a more versatile type.. rather then a first cross or 3/4 Breds I’d always go down to at least 3rd generation if possible when choosing this type ?
  11. No doubt about that coat holding up. That bedlington blood just puts something to them and it certainly adds abit of fire to them best of luck
  12. Il never forget the night I took a whippet type lamping rabbits up the Scottish borders. We had 3 dogs this night a saluki lurcher type and a collie lurcher.. the wind and rain was on our side and the other two dogs not the whippets.. it really knocked the stuffing out the little bitch she had a few runs no kills.. before I had to carry her back to car baring in mind this was a fresh dog young and fit.. I’ve never favoured them since this night thin skinned fragile shivering things.. probably start something here but that’s my opinion ?
  13. You can see the coat on this dog is pretty thick and by my eye that could stand a harsh night.
  14. Depends on the type of coat it’s got to be right.. I know exactly what he means as some types can hold onto the water
  15. The beddy and collie really puts a coat to them pal trust me.. been out in the worst of weather with mine and the rain just runs off it it’s sort of a double coat
  16. be looking for something this sort of stamp to go over a bitch of mine in a couple of seasons
  17. Hoping this line is the start of something special but that’s hoping we all know not all of them make the grade
  18. I have a beddy/grey x collie/grey bitch there does me well it does go well together the two. And certainly gives them a good weatherproof coat ?
  19. Good question.. I don’t know of any working Irish terriers do you??
  20. There’s a lad on Facebook runs this cross I can’t mind his name but they can graft that’s for sure ?
  21. I like that mate.. it’s like a stronger built whippet looks perfect for the job
  22. That’s the one we are holding back ?
