Seen this couple of days ago on the news. The copper that was talkin about it was on that police program years back (  Road Wars )with that other bald headed copper. He was a right prick on the program. Good cop bad cop.  Think it's down derby way or Nottingham. " I hear black birds around here first thing doing house alarm sounds ". Few months back I heard a jay mimicking the sound of a buzzard.  I'm looking all over for this buzzard on the treeline  then noticed it was a jay. Another was a sparrow mimicking a bullfinch call. Its amazing how they can do this behaviour.

  2. Your comments going back a week now mate ,  so somebody will of commented on it nodoubt. Thats one thing I've never seen.  A died kite on the side of road or motorway. Many years back they introduced them back to harrogate near harewood house ( soft release ) . At first the birds were in flights. Then after a few month they opened the flights up but still fed the birds until they found their feet around the area. Now you see them all over Down the side of the A1 M1 & A64. Can't beat looking out of motor seeing them twisting & turning specially the tails forking.

All the best for the rest of the breeding season mate

Same to you mate. I've been using that grog this season in the eggfood. To be fair jimmy its work wonders on mortalities in nest. It's them first few days upto a week old that you normally lose young. Something to do with the shite in the nest. And if it gets onto the young can start some nasty shit in the young. So the grog stops all that. Don't ask me how but it works. Lol

  4. The goverment want to be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen. And they need to over rule the home office decisions of keeping these b*****ds here. If not it's our right to take matters into our own hands. And watch over our own waters.

It's a nightmare mate. I've thrown loads of eggs away from second rounds. A feel shit throwing them away. But a don't want the canary eggs. No doubt all will of been okay too. Because first rounds I've been hitting 5s & 4s. I've got a good few numbers of chicks that are coming upto 14 days old. I always keep a few back for myself. For following season. But I always give the young birds a first round of canary eggs before putting the goldys under.

Saw two tails sticking out of this box, one still moving so I went for the gun. One in the trap and another one eating it. I wasn't quick enough to bag the cannibal rat.

I had one that was killing by birds few years back now.  Killed my karkarikis the b*****d. Ended up finding a few bird which had been pulled into the middle of the concrete blocks that my flights were sat on. A never thought that the rats would get through due to them being strong blocks. Its the blocks that you see at the side of the Railway. The ones that keeps the electrical cables in.  Net work Rail gave me a good few numbers of them. The down fall was they were open in the middle where the cables normally go. So due to me turning them upside-down and bedding them like that to sit the timber frames on. Made easy access for the rats to run up and down inside the b*****ds. But f***ing hard for me. So I ended up concreting the ends to the b*****ds would be trapped if any where in.

Add to that the money going to the French, we're getting one almighty fcuking using.

And many will give their hard earned taxes to fund it. Really the whole country should say jog on. I'm taking businesses that employ workers. Give the wages straight to the workers. It's not fair the tax payers paying for this. If most employers did this they could f**k everyone for standing up to this shit enough is enough. It's just would many risk doing it. My answers a big NO. And that's why they get away with it.

They probably know same as us that thousands of them will not be deported to Rwanda if they enter this country illegally and labour are going to scrap the Rwanda plan when they get in.

So all that money spent for f**k all. Rwanda will love the uk.

I'm no sparky but I think most lamps would be on a 12v system,  ive not had a lamp for yonks so I could be wrong

Your right mate. You can get a reducer from 36v to 12v. So not worth putting in the bin. Plus this will last a good few nights ad say. If it's reducing the power to 12v

  10. Just a quick question. Are youngens e scooter was ready for local tip. But before that I've taken the battery out and the charging port. Would this be any good to run a lamp. 36v 216wh. Just if so was going to give it to one of young lads a know who goes lamping. Only thing he'll have to change is the port to the lamp to the battery won't he. It's got no weight too it.

    Looking good for you mate

It's been a good start mate thanks for comment. I've 26 young canaries on at moment all ready to fledge. The nest pan there in have been moved to the bottom of the cages , and now the new clean nest pan are in place.

To which the parents are already building their second nest. So hopefully in the next few days there will be the second round of eggs starting.

I've a good number of goldfinches on with laying so will move some eggs over for the canaries to sit now that I know which canaries will be good feeders mates.

I've a couple of older pair canaries which I've used before. But a like to let the young canaries have a first round. That's just because a don't like to put goldfinch eggs under a young birds that's not sat or raised any young.

Nothing worse than a young cock bird kicking eggs out or eating them. Or say the hen sitting the eggs then when young hatch she picks them up and throws them out of the nest.

  12. Went for a walk this morning with the wife due to us having the day off work both of us. And on the walk noticed this nest.  A know a few on here will know who's nest this belongs to. ? But a bet many wouldn't have a clue. So thought I'd share it. It's amazing how this little bird makes this nest. With spider webs and liken.

Bridgwater, its why we moved down that way and looking like they will be moving in with us for a bit now.

In all fairness Im not sure its migrants going to be moving in on this one think its a divorce settlement issue but the shortage is definitely down to "over crowding" in the area. Latest figures show there are just 267 council houses available in the whole of the Sedgemoor area and the local Holiday inn and care home are now housing over 450 illegals. You don't need to be a mathematical genius to work out what shit storm we are walking into.

    It's like the wifes just said. " It's f***ing ridiculous 🙄..  A couldn't understand closing care homes to house f***ing maggots. 😒

So true, my lad and his wife just been issued a section 21 on the property they rent with their 3 year old and 6 month old giving them 2 months to move out. Mortgage and 3 bed rentals beyond their joint incomes so 2 beds are there only options. Letting agents are so inundated they are only taking on 7 applications before shutting down adverts, shocking situation.

They want to be ashamed of themselves. You know what to do to that property 😉 once there out. Makesure no migrant gets a hold of it. This should be happening to any landlord that kicks decent british citizens out.

  15. What a f***ing joke. They refused help so they let them come through to british waters where they got help ffs. Why not just leave the fuckers. Or deflate the boat. The saying see no evil ear no evil because that's what these people are. Invading another country when they know their not welcome by the general British public to me in an invasion. Not only of britian but the whole of Europe. Why aren't we doing like Australia. It looks like we need to watch our own waters and take things into our own hands. Because the goberments not going to stop it. Sunak deep down wants to flood the uk then let which ever other party deal with the shite

  16. She's still sat tight this hen. The guy a bought them off. Is a top breeder. None of his birds are brought up by foster parents or hand feed. If they don't make it they don't make it. No meds naturally brought up out side in aviaries so great immune systems. This year I'm going to build some out door flights with the concrete post few kick boards to mid way.  Then make some sides out of timber that slot the mesh frames in then clad the roof. Something that will last for years to come. Plus can jet wash down and looks the part in the garden.
