  3. of course you are a man and a better one for lovin' yer dog. she wouldn't have known owt about it and the last thing she was doing was what she absolutely loved. you gave her love and that's something some poor creatures never know. when the time is right you will give it again but you will never forget this baby. tears are healing -you cry all you need. take care. X
  4. Buddy- stolen from Bath -owners desperate for him back....it's cold out now and he's only ever known warmth and love since he was born. please please -is there anywhere you can think to look.i know it's not about the money but if they get him back =£1000 reward....
  5. as no-ones been in touch to "claim" the reward i wonder if he's been sold on to someone unsuspecting or kept by the theives for hunting - dint think he'd be much good at that -ad his balls off early!
  6. thanks .last sighting langport, somerset. he will be foot-sore,bedraggled and unhappy now -if the loose 'un is him. whoever it is i just hope someone catches it soon...

  9. a dog matching the desciption of stolen Buddy was seen loose in a little hamlet called kingweston south east of glastonbury, somerset. if he's been abandoned by coursers cos he was no good they obviously didn't know there's a £1000 reward for his safe return! http://www.doglost.co.uk/forum.asp?ID=10897 on the assumption that it wasn't him -would you mind looking at the pic and if you see him in your area....X
  10. [i really dread to think what happens when a poor staffie is taken -at least a lurcher may end up leading a fulfilling life -the owners never stop looking tho...
  11. [thanks for replying -notice you're in the states -what sort of dogs do you have? X
  12. if i could get a really permanent colour i'd dye mine purple if it meant no one took her -since her brother got stolen http://www.doglost.co.uk/forum.asp?ID=10897 i dont feel safe at all -and more gettin nicked each day....
  13. your photos are too large -you need to reduce the pixels or the site can't handle it -i do it by right-clicking on the photo then opening it with microsort office picture manager if you have that, then select "edit pictures" then "resize" then type in 300 where it says "custom width x height" then save!( press the little icon of a floppy disc" there it is - piece o cake - the photo is small enough to send but still looks ok -dunno if this helps or sounds like gobbledegook! X
  14. pretty much tried em all-even got it on ebay! still nothing -4 weeks. utter hell
  15. went on a site last night called www.petsearch.homestead.com and was horrified to find loads more lurchers stolen -for some reason they haven't been put on www.doglost.co.uk which seems to be the main one.i'm trying to contact those owners as 2 or 3 might also have cctv footage. then we need it on crimewatch -to try and get the dogs back and publicize this atrocious crime. the net must close in.....
  16. [we got cctv footage so hopefully -if the police would ever take it seriously -then it might go on crimewatch -looking on a site called www.petsearchuk.homestead.com i counted over 40 lurchers stolen or missing this year -lots involving vans....something's gotta be done
  17. Buddy -stolen -anyone seen him? his litter mates -a mixed bunch
  18. thankyou so much for all your help -the only good thing to happen is folk's generosity....of course it goes without saying you shouldn't leave 'em outside a shop but Dave was walking home from exercising on the common, stepped into the shop to get a paper, watching the dog all this time when a bloke stood in his view and another took Buddy -under a minute -i think he was followed and obviously they couldn't believe their luck as the opportunity presented itself. he will never forgive himself and he and his wife are utterly destroyed by this. i assume dog thieves have no idea of the damage they d
  19. gonna try and get it on crimewatch as he was taken from a high street with cctv footage. if nothing else it would serve as a warning to owners -seems to be happening everywhere
  20. http://doglost.co.uk/poster.asp?ID=10897 just thought if some of you folk could print out a poster and put it in a vehicle then the thieves might give up, he'd be too "hot" to handle-he's somewhere in this country...feeling like we ain't never gonna see im again. do other people get this attached to dogs? heartbroken and worried sick. thanks for listenin..X
  21. Buddy- stolen from Bath -owners desperate for him back....it's cold out now and he's only ever known warmth and love since he was born. please please -is there anywhere you can think to look.i know it's not about the money but if they get him back =£1000 reward.... buddy_poster.doc

  23. i'm worried because the thieves out there are putting a price on our dogs - i've just heard about a stolen lurcher being retrieved due to the owner having to meet in a car park and hand over the dosh. this is not good as it wikll encourage them but i'd pay...Buddy still missing as well.2 weeks since he was stolen -seen any new dogs in your area? he's a gorgeous tall long-hared cream brindle.so desperately missed.please contact urgently.thanks
