  1. Why would somebody breed from a dog that is not proven.Thats a recipe for disaster. And people want to buy them knowing this.Theres good terrier men on this site allright.

working dogs dont always breed suitable working offspring. in (my opinion) its the work you put into a dog. iv seen many workers lined to workers that produced dogs that couldnt do the job. also iv owned and seen dogs that were bred out of non working parents that worked very well.

  2. call it what you want mate, accidents do happen, all we can do is deal with 'em and move on, not dwell on the what if's , only's or live in the past

accidents dont happen. what we sould do is try to avoid human error. only { if } was a donky we would all have a ride.

  3. Fireman why take the thought i'm having a go, all i'm saying is that if the big boys cant rid their dogs of faults how on earth do you expect perfection to happen in plummers, it just wont, accept that its a developing breed that carries faults common in every dog breed and thats the first step. The next one is to realise many people can contribute to the future of the breed and indeed if it to have a future need to, as i see it its dead in the water and will continue to be so while we have so many prima donnas, -hence the ptcgb having a restructure the end of the year, it makes sense to me, but anyway thats digressing - btw its tim you are speaking to ,anyway jmi how many litters have you bred? As for accidents dont happen, if not there would never be car crashes, or people getting run over accidents do happen fact!!! accept it, try to avoid them but never say never , life isnt like that

there is no such thing as accidents. its called human error . (fact).

  4. just last week i breed a small red english bull terrier dog with a plummer terrier bitch . my plan if all gos well is to keep a bitch pup to breed back to a plummer terrier dog. i know its been done before. this might be an interresting cross that may make a stronger type.

You are joking right? if not why would you do that when its already been done and the cream is still about in varying degrees which is already tried and tested ? strange

i only know of it being done once before. which in my oppinion once is not enough to rectify the problems that are produced in such a close genepool. (only my oppinion)

no not joking. might be strange. i will see what the outcome will bring.

  6. As usual got my cmw today and there in the folds is another plummer terrier, ive not really took a lot of notice of the breed .seen its develope over the years right back from omega/vampire even san but havent taken a critical look, as they were really only tested at rats and most of the big catches in plummers diarys were far from the truth ,but today in cmw theres some show champion from some show and i must admit if that is a good example of the breed all i can say is they are proberly only suited to rats cant seen them having the strenght to really last hard terrier work year in year out trader

  9. I think myself he no longer breeds plummers, there are dogs about with coalville blood in them just keep looking. There was a coalville bred dog in the cmw a couple of weeks back,i myself have a bitch with plenty of coalville blood in her and i can't fault her working drive. There are may i add plenty of good working dogs bred each year so don't get a bit kennel blind mate, the working plummer is on the up.

im not getting kennel blind mate.i know what i want i used to breed them.

  12. i was thinking about dog crosses when the thought of a geryhound x husky entered my mind i think it would be a good cross

any thoughts or has anyone got one!

iv been thinking about breeding this cross for a number of years. never got around to it untill now. iv got a 27in greyhound bitch which i will be covering with a husky dog next week. theres a lot of negative thoughts off people about this cross. people who have never seen one let alone seen one work. iv spoken to a few people who have owned and worked them they all seem to be quite positive about the cross. only time will tell. all the best dai dogs

Actually I have seen them work. I have a few friends that do the rigging and racing and also know people that have competed in the "Iditarod" A very close friend has been out to watch it a few times. What you must also consider it the probability that most of these puppies will be sold as pets (cant imagine many working folk wnating one) I hope you are willing to take them back if the nature of the Husky comes through and they have problems.

iv got 5 orders for pups already all working homes.

  13. does anyone here own one and if so just wonderd how they run and the genral all round performence becase im think about getting one at 17 lol are the power assisted and warm inside lmao
iv had land rovers for 20 years they are not warm inside not comfortable. they do the job that others cant . easy to repair. power assisted steering can be added to the old models. all the armed forces, all the emergency services use them so they must have somthing to offer.
