  3. in moderation with other bits they will be fine .
  4. A few miles a day at a good pace puts some proper stamina into a dog , Not something every body can do though . I try to get mine out behind my bike i have a bit of bike track 0.8 miles i do this at around 15mph . It does help , but is not the be all and end all . you can get a dog ready from plenty of work . But in all seriousness how fit is fit enough ? I dont go out hunting half as much as i did and i dare say most people on this site are not out doing as much as a small percent ! . Mine catch gear everyday of the week pretty much through just walking them after/before work and are fit eno

  9. Fry some lamb mince , put it in the slow cooker . add onion peas spuds and 4 ts of mint sauce . make up a litre of swiss vedge stock ad that to the mixture and leave all day it will be heaven . i have dumplings with mine but i wouldnt no how to do dumplings in a slow cooker .
  10. leave it as long as possible . get him mature enough to cope with a bite and you will have less chance of a dog jacking .
  11. Well ive been having a hunt around and a decent forrestor seems to be hard to find with out having a big price on its head . Had a look at some legacys in the end they dont look bad motors they were auto's something that allways makes me think big bucks if it goes wrong ! . Seen a couple of impreza's on the autotrader site they look ok but its hard to guage the boot size , would you get 2 dogs in the back of one comfortably ? .
  12. a saluki cross grey would be right up your street , enter it right you will be equiped for most situations
  13. get a decent dog day or night a cwd is not the challenge you lads are making it out to be in my humble opinion , ive not got fast dogs by a country mile but cwd will go down day or night roe is a different kettle of fish they have gears and stamina . if youve a decent hare dog that will take deer you will mop up cwd any time of day or year
  14. what do you want the dog to do ?
  15. More often that not if chinkis have been a good bit out in the open and the slips arnt stupid ive caught them , Ive propberbly had more success on them than any other species of deer . I wouldnt say they are that hard , as long as the dog no's when to leave of the gas you will do allright on them .
  16. Ive caught everthing but red's/sika's never tried them . In my eyes roe tested the dog more than anything else .
  17. graham will lose i am afraid , wish it would be different . and as for gomez he is no more than a british standard fighter he dont have the class for anything else .
  18. Good luck with rehomeing them , I reckon you will be inundated with requests for such good dogs , Choose carefully mate the sound like crackers .
  19. 20 months and you are making decisions !!! its a pup still . leave em as long as you can more chance of a dog not jacking . dogs are a marathon not a sprint . you will never spoil a dog by lettin it mature .

  23. Anybody had much to do with these ? I am in the process of starting to look for a new motor , Up to now ive stayed with vauxhalls/fords pretty exclusively but i really like the look of these motors . I like the impreza's as well but they havnt got the boot space i require . Any feedback good or bad appreciated . Are they very pricey on parts how reliable are they ? Thanks in advance .
