Keep dreaming about these big cats n big foot. Cos that’s all it is a dream ?

Still no other suggestions form you as to other options , I thought a world authority such as yourself would of come up with a few , but no , not even one .

roughly 3 million deer in the uk.plenty of food for big cats no doubt neil.

i do reckon the deer are key and people only suffer livestock problems when the cats are stressed or desperate , so injured , ill or tied down feeding young

    interesting read this.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-154625/Are-panthers-roaming-Wales.html

the part i find interesting is that the cats have survived for 7 years in the wild.

They would probably live to a good age with pretty much no competition for food , you only have to look at the way the deer population has exploded in the Uk in the last twenty years or so . Plus we have a very forgiving climate here , not like they would need to survive extremes as they would in North America etc . Dogs seem to be a favourite of Leopards to eat , check out some of them living in the outskirts of Mumbai and living on the pets and livestock .... On the India connection , how many people live in Mumbai ? And how many know they have Leopards living among them let alone seen one ?

Yea I got 22-250 on my ticket , good fox round , wish I went 243 now tho so covers for deer , 22-250 covers some deer in Scotland

anyway back on topic lol yea some of the pics are interesting , wonder if there has been any kills found in trees and claw marks up the trees to the kill

Back when i was at college a mate of mine had huge trouble loosing sheep , they found all sorts even up a tree ... back in the 90s though so before everyone had mobiles

  5. What people don't seem to grasp is these cats have massive territories , maybe 60 or so miles across , males even more , we are not talking about creatures of extreme habit like badgers and foxes that have huge numbers on the ground . I remember a chap telling me once he caught a badger in a live trap and sprayed it bright yellow with sheep marker . How many people do you think saw this badger again ? And that's a common animal . Big cats are extremely skilful hunters and can disappear into cover in the blink of an eye . The chances of seeing one in the wild are such a small percentage , i bet its not possible to calculate .

There is your answer mate, we have a few hill farmers that now dip there sheep to avoid the predation if it gets to much ??if you do find any fresh ones give me a shout I can get them dna tested for you if they are fresh, would also be happy to travel down and get a few cameras up if it starts happening on a regular basis ??

To be fair we don't have a massive problem , some of my mates when we were at college had huge problems back in the 90s  . May well take you up on that , taking on more ground towards end of the year , some of which has moorland rights , so expecting a few more issues . We do have a lot of deer round here both reds and roe so no end of natural prey and perfect country for them to live , i think the sheep killing is odd blips if they are hurt or ill

That was alive and walking at bed time, like that by first light  the throat is one place as they kill by crushing the wind pipe also the end of the nose as they will just clamp on and suffocate I,ll dig up some

This was almost identical to mine , if anything the punctures in my lamb were a little wider apart . We have found several deer carcass's in the forestry behind us over the years but not normally fresh enough to positively say what cause of death was . One of the chaps that does the deer stalking for the forestry commission has seen what he described as a Puma very near to me and has heard their calls .

No i never dip them . Fairly similar but the pelt was pulled up over the head end and the rib cage was a bit more complete , i think our visitor was disturbed before finishing its lunch

was a guy in north Wales admitted letting 2 go that belonged to a guy who owned a scrap yard few yrs back......adult and 2 sets of young left tracks in the snow outside the storey arms bottom of pen yr van youth hostel....I've seen a photo of 1 that was shot on a farm in the beacons,I know 3 lads who had seen it on a few occasions when out lamping.......none of their big old bull x's would entertain running it......that's 50/60 miles from me.....then you got the sightings in England......I see no reason to try and discredit anyone who farms the land and sees 1.....they obviously spend more time out in the countryside than a 20/30 yr old dreamer with a long dog?

    Well put mate

no bother ?, be good if someone did come up with a pic or something.

if it was a dog maybe it wasn't a arse grabber

Thats true mate , but dogs tend to make a mess on sheep whether its the arse or front end

could the flat grass not be the animal cleaning its self after feeding on the lamb? Like a dog.

doesn't fit with the times but badgers peel/skin things. Just other ideas

Possible Gilbey , but fair amount of blood for that and this was definitely no dog attack . I have had dog attacks on my sheep before and the are always ripped generally on the back end , and the neck puncture marks were to deep and big for a dog . Dogs and foxes always leave a lot of wool about their kills as well , this was clean .

Yes you are right Badgers do peel things and i have known them take sickly lambs but this was a big lamb  and as you say doesn't fit with when Badgers are active

Your claims are falling apart. If you had some sort of proof it could be believable but you have none apart from this illedged killin you dreamt off.

Not really , you have not given me one valid option of what else it could of been . I don't really care if you believe in what I believe or not , you have your opinion and I personally think you are totally blinkered in your views and as such unless a big cat was actually put right in front of you and chewed your leg off you still wouldn't believe it ..... and i think you mean ' alleged and killing '..... So come on big expert what other options are there for the third or fourth time ?

Dog like that expert proved. Where’s these pics of this sheep then?

Have you seen dog attacks on sheep ? Very messy from ones i have had not clinical like this . Did i say i had pictures of the sheep ? Didnt even have a camera phone at the time . I thought you were the expert

  15. Ravens wont strip a 40 kg lamb in the time scale , or shear rib bones and bird kills / carion feeding are messy on a sheep , wool everywhere . This was clean like it had been skinned . Not many Ravens about here either they tend to stick to the higher moor ground

He is probably looking through the encyclopedia of British Fauna to find a culprit . A stoat maybe or a Tawny owl ?

  16. Shall we run through a list to discredit your theory Boris ..... lets start with say a mouse , to small i think and not a carnivorous enough to kill and eat a sheep ..... A mole maybe ? A heron ? Where is the expert with the answers ?

  17. I farm a small area of a large estate comprising about a dozen farms / small holdings , of the farmers i know on the estate every one has either had stock killed in unusual circumstances or seen big cats , thats not to say i have myself but on the other hand i have no reason to disbelieve the men and women i have spoken to ... surprisingly all of the descriptions are very similar both of what they have seen and the remains they have been left with

People have plenty pics of red stags tho surely all these supposed sightings someone wouldn’t be as slow as you. Could of been a whole world of things that did that to your lamb.

Once a big patch of my grass was flat no tracks to it from any direction, defo aliens I reckon ?

Yes but there is also thousands of stags in the uk . Such as what done it then ? I have asked you a few times but you haven't come up with one suggestion . Did your aliens leave sheeps blood all over the patch as well ? I love the fact that you can't partake in sensible debate and resort to childish comments, very mature

Everyone has a camera in there pocket these days. Still no actual footage. It’s all fairy tales n make belief. More chance seeing a Bigfoot ?

Big red stag in my fields end of last year , time i had got my phone out he had vanished into the forestry . So is that a fairy tale too ? Or doe's it just mean i am busy and don't walk along with my camera on like a Japanese tourist . You still have not given any of your thoughts on what else could of done what happened to my lamb
