  1. The only warning the guy who’s taken me hunting and I got the pup from is that terriermen are all about cliques and I’m finding that to be true. It’s sad, guy gets his first pup, wants to be part of the community and hopefully gain some knowledge and all that happens is this. Sorry you guys have obviously been burned before. I’ll stick around the small group of guys I know around me that hunt and not deal with this house wife drama on here
  2. Born in November. Finally made it out to pick him up. Gonna be interesting learning the traits of a new breed/style of dog. Cocky little fella already
  3. I don’t think she’s been in contact with anything odd. It’s been -20 for a few weeks here so there isn’t a ton of plant life. Otherwise I’m not sure, if it is something it would be hard to pin point
  4. Teeth look fine, I don’t see anything stuck in her mouth either. I’m thinking it’s anxiety based after talking more with my fiancé as we both agree that she doesn’t do it all the time. The drooling kind of comes and goes.
  5. I have a 4 year old beagle who in the past 2/3 weeks has started drooling excessively. It doesn’t seem to have any negative consequences as she still hunts fine and seems fine otherwise but is there any reason to this?
  6. I’ve been into hunting with dogs since I can remember. My dad had springer spaniels and I would gonphradant and grouse hunting with him, I became interested in beagles when I was 8 and convinced my parents to let me get one. We trained her and in two years we had three of them, best three we’ve ever had and it was all dumb luck. I’d heard about terriers here and there but just recently have been able to find guys with dogs, had a chance to hunt, and found a older guy who has agreed to help me out with learning the ropes. Hopefully in about a month I’ll be getting my first pat. Nee
  7. Came here for the terrier section as I’ve become interested in terriers recently. I’ve had beagles for over 20 years (not a ton of dogs in that time but lucky enough to have good ones). Interesting place so far.
