Lightforce striker with an 18ah 20 hour yuasa battery for sale. Both bought just after xmas brand new. Lamp cost me £80 and battery cost me £65. Only used 4/5 times and battery has only been charged up twice, 1 of those times was when i first got it and filled it and then charged it so it really is like new.
The price for both the lamp and the battery is £60 no offers.

A don’t even know why this is even a topic ave just read three pages of shit use need to grow up
I remember saying in a recent thread that turned into something similar to this 1, something along the lines of-: "i wonder if i start a thread with the topic of childish, pointless, petty arguments and comments maybe we might get a interesting debate and discussion on running dogs". Maybe worded a little different but overall the same meaning. Im fairly new to this and i cant beleive some of the shi*e that gets page after page of this. Madness!!!

Absolutely totally different kettle of fish if you will excuse the punt! 100% agree with u there pal about the difference between wild and commercial pike and carp! Im in east yorkshire and now and again i fish a commercial pond for pike. Its got 2 lakes and 1 is more carp and the other is apparantly more pike and this place is very lightly fished for pike. Me and my brother go there and either or both of us have 3-4 runs and we are always back home for just after dinner time. Great stuff especially for a commercial place but give me the chance of any wild fish over commercial anyday!
Im putting a pic or 2 up from the commercial place i mentioned! Well im trying. My brother just whats apped them to me so give me a minute or 2 please

I have put a few pics on the view from your swim thread, but rather than keep sticking them on there I thought I'd start a new one.
I have grown up fishing the canal and though its produced pike for years.....with the occasional big one.....i honestly can't remember it ever producing so many nice pike. The average was always 4-5lb, now its 8-12 with one caught over 15 the other day.
Most of my trips have been for no more than 3 hours, and I'm moving 2-3 times during that time so perhaps 2.5 hours fishing.....and I'm expecting to catch fish with 3-4 runs in that time. Where else can you expect that many runs in 2.5hours with fish around double figures?? I'm not even fishing to boats or features, my peg choice is based purely on shelter from the wind and lack of dog turds. I'm fishing the l+l canal around its halfway point....there is over 120 miles of canal with practically free fishing and fish that have never seen a hook.
Anyone got any pics of canal pike or carp? ...proper wild fish that are a million miles away from commercial fisheries

I was more thinking toward the end months just to give me and dog a small head start mid to late August time really depending on weather and ground. But if it is a no go ie to warm nights or rock hard ground then I would just wait as what's a couple of months extra after waiting 15 16 months anyway
Youve waited this long up to now, surely another month or 2 wont be bad

Personally i would just wait til season starts again and maybe try walking out to a couple of squatters, try and get right on top of them and make sure dog has seen it before u slip

Be patient mate good things will come no harm in waiting till next season starts for some green rabbits just think of the worst that can happen with terrier blood in there An being a young dog....yapping,hunting up after a run, loss of recall,no retrieve, damage to the young dog .better to wait it out till the dog levels out being a bigger type dog an matures fully......I know your pain An keenness as I’ve the same thing but will not give in to temptation till the crops are down the minute there down it’s a green light to get on
Sound advice poxon!
