My son has done the usual 12 year old boy thing and 'found a ferret'. It was in a fishing box on the local park, obviously dumped. It is a young female. I already have a castrated male, 3 years old (his brother died 6 months ago) and I have been thinking of getting another to keep him company. I dont work them, they are pets. I would be willing to keep it if they could live together, but I only have one cage at the moment. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do here. Thank you Lyn

It looks as though your pups will enjoy chasing the lure. Can I suggest you get them used to wearing a muzzle to race in. Most lurcher clubs will insist on all dogs wearing a muzzle at their racing events. It can prevent any accidents to both dogs and spectators. I hope this will prevent any misunderstanding turning up at an event without a muzzle. Lyn

here is a picture of Wally, the pup we got through this site. He is nearly 5 months old and a right monkey. He is teething and chews everything in sight (or even just within reach). He is lovely though and learning fast. Lyn

Thank you all for your concern. This guy is an old fashioned bloke who always kept his dogs and ferrets this way, not expecting any trouble. He only has an old photo when she was a small pup. He seems to think he must have upset someone who bears him a grudge and doesnt expect to see his dog again. I hope this isnt the case but unfortunately this is how some people behave these days. I will let you know if I get any information. Thanks.
