Hi chaps very interesting i live in Guernsey we dont get very cold weather and not alot of snow only 2 or 3 days a year. but hardly any Rabbits 4/5 years ago there were about 30 rabbits to an acre. we are told that the rabbit have a rabbits flu but only here say Pasteurella Moltoceda is carried by a large percentage of rabbits, both wild and domestic rabbits. There are a number of different strains, and some are more harmful to a rabbit than others.   2. Hi mate the time is from 10 to 14 days on most bitches mate her twice maybe day 11 and day 13 or so on let her see/play with the dog she will know when she is ready. Then about 63 days the pups arrive well somtimes it goes like this cheers merle

  5. i have been pigeon shooting alot over the last 2 months and have tried these. i my opinion they are crap. i have given them a fare chance different crops times of day and so on the worst thing i have bought cheers merle
  6. I was invited picking up again last weekend in west sussex this time my wife was beating as well so i ended up with the spaniel and my bull x lurcher it went very well indeed with both dogs retreiving there share it just shows any dog can retrieve hope you like the pics cheers nick

  8. i am sorry but 7s will not bounce off a pigeon if you are shooting pigeons at sensable ranges . i quite agree 7.5 is a very good shot but the range has to be taken in to account as well . dont try shooting at stupid ranges there are not many joe average shots good enough to shot with constant kills at more than 40 yards ,pace it out and see how. far it is. i have heard people saying i was killing all the birds at 50/60 yards. ok this is possible but not for everybody. and a good 28g 7.5 clay shot is as powerful if not more powerful than a 32g 6game shot. why dont you buy a box and give th
  9. i use gamebore black gold 28g 7.5 for clays and pigeon they will kill birds cleanly at up to 40yards if not more and they are a very fast shot chokes i use are 1/4 1/4 alot of people will shoot one type of shot at clays and another in the field this can cause problem in tis self with different speeds of the shot i have tried clear pigeon fibres no 6 but they do not kill the birds half as well but there are loads of shots out there try them though your guns to find the one that suits you cheers nick

Been away to the uk this week end with the springer oh and the wife. a friend of mine runs a shoot in west sussex this was the secound time i have been invited over to pick up . what a great day out with the springer. the wife went with the beaters. then on sunday we shot a few pigeons well the wife did anyway hope you like these pics merle
  11. hello mate i would be sure to go for a springer or cocker they will hunt retrieve and so on although if it is just to retrieve get a lab a lab will retrive from cover but they dont like working the thick stuff like a spaniel size dog. but at the end of the day it is your choice get the dog you are happy with merle
