Hi many thanks for posting the reply and the advice, like you say it is very frustrating and you feel like losing the will to live ha ha I will try this approach of putting her back on the lead many thanks David.

Hi, I have a seven month old beddy lurcher bitch , everything going well with the training , sit heal etc but just in the last couple of days if she spies another dog at the other side of the park/field, she runs over and takes no notice of my commands to come to heal or return, once she has had a sniff and a bit of a play, she returns, obviously I cannot punnish her or she thinks it is for returning. But how can I get her to stop this before it escalates, cheers David.

Having a big sanitry towel thing removed from my arse after an operation for piles, the blood had dried and the nurse was a sadistic bitch , it f*****g killed me .

do you have any strange rules when picking, i guy i know will never have a fawn greyhound with a black muzzle says they are not genuine. personally im not a big fan of brindles so would pick one of those last but other than that i think its just about going with your gut and pickin what you like I was at a greyhound breeders place in southern Ireland last year , he said the same about a fawn bitch with a black muzzle, he said it was a throw back! rest of the litter were all black dogs , I thought she was stunning.

I get them and I feel like Iam dying, the tablets I take are called Naramig , cant be bothered with anyone or anything got to sit down dark room and in the quiet , mine seem to come in waves, I know if they start I am in for a bad 3-4 days ,this happens once maybe twice a month !

Has anyone used this kind of cross? what hieght do you think bitches will make , do you use them just for rabbiting mooching etc ? would be gratefull for any any photos comments, thanks.

Must admit Khan is smug and cockey /arrogant, if you look at him when he was an amature he was a different lad but as they say thats the price of fame . (if he likes to think of himself as that !)

Got my little bitch back from the vets last night, she is all stitched up now, today she has been moving about the house and back garden slowly or she has been lay on the couch feeling sorry for herself , but at least it looks like she is on the mend thanks for all the replys and post I am very gratefull. Oh and as for the vet at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!..

Whent out this morn with my 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy 2 year old bitch, I let her of as usual , only walked about 200 yds when she jumped over a small clump of grass and gave out a slight yelp, at first I thought she had jumped on a thorn but when I looked at her foot she was pumping blood from the top of her leg (kind of in the arm pit area) I looked again and it was wide open I gripped the leg to try and stop the blood, picked her up and ran back to the car , I phoned the wife and got her to phone the vet, at the moment she is being stitched up and I have to go later to collect her, its amazing

Hi to everybody, just to give you an update with my young bitch, I have been persistant in taking her out in the woods etc ,I have had her on the field for some obedience training and now it seems to be paying of, when we go in the woods she is of the lead and will give chase after the squirells and occasional pheasant, if she does go out of sight I can whistle/shout her back without any problem, when she does return she gets plenty of praise and a small treat, unfortunately there are no rabbits at all where I go (some Deer) so I dont know if the commands will work if she was in full flight ,

What age do you retire your lurchers? is it down to old age, sometimes an injury means an early stop to the sport, or if the dog is still fit enough do you take it out for some bushing etc, I suppose its down to how you work your dogs terrain ,quarry etc what do you lot think.

Hi to everybody, I am a newcomer to the sight and am after some help with my 9 month old 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington bitch pup, two months ago I was walking her in some woods near my home ,all was well and she was staying close and seemed to be enjoying herself, after ten minutes or so I put her back on the lead and walked back the way we came . without any warning she somehow slipped her lead and took of! totally scared not taking any notice of me at all,1 1/2 hours later I found her playing with some other dogs on the field. Now the problem is that when I take her in the woods (on the lead)
