  5. post-37701-1256852098_thumb.jpgI would say this is the best day time dog (bitch) in the country, i know this is a bold statement to make but i have owned dogs for nearly 30 years and i have never owned or seen one as good as this and she's only 18 months old. You'll have to see her work to belive just how good she is, this dog comes with a trial

Gutted for you, hope everything comes out as well as it can. Cheers, D.

  6. any one use a jimny?.......if so how do you rate them? iv heard good things about and wouldnt mind trying one out but i think they look like a real hairdresser car lol. any info appreciated, cheers

With half decent tyres they'll go where any conventional 4X4 will. Only room for two at the most with any kit but reliable, reasonable to run with real off road ability. Read any mag reviews etc!

I'm on my second now with back seats ripped out! Cheers, D.

  7. Sadly I lost a terrier to ground today.

After a good few hours of him entering, we broke through to him right up against his quarry but he was dead. He was wedged in so tight it seems he's blocked off the air flow and unfortunately he's suffocated as a result.

To say I'm gutted would be an understatement, but it's just how things turn out in this game some times.

    Sorry mate, R.I.P. Nelson

  8. I'm planning on making a knife (or rather the sheath and handle) but I need to know a few things; Where's the best place to get a blade? I don't really want a particularly expensive one as it'll probably turn out poor anyway, so less than a tenner. Secondly what do you use to fill up the void between the two halves of the handle? Third what do you get to pin the handle halves and blade together?

I've got most of the material; I can get wood easily enough (I think), same goes for some leather, and I have all the things needed to make the handle, and I know enough to do it (again, I think) but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Theres a mail order place called Attleborough Accessories that do all the stuff you'll need like that but I don't have their address, if you google it it will be easy to find. I have had other stuff from them, they are cheapish, quality and quick, good service. Cheers, D.

  12. A lot of old boys will tell you the old myths about ferrets. Back in the day they were often fed nothing but bread & milk, kept in small hutches and never handled unless they were being taken out ferreting. The result was that you had a bad tempered ferret that craved meat and something to do.

If you feed your ferret correctly and give it plenty of handling and exercise, you can get it as tame as any cat or other pet animal. It's all about trust & confidence. If you are nervous of your ferret, it'll most likely pick up on that and be more likely to bite you.

Well said M,, I could put my ferts down my trousers and let them take food from my mouth without any probs if I had a mind (or half of one)! LOL :D Cheers, D.
