  1. First time I've made a catapult, other than when I was a kid. Think its turned out ok, shoots as straight as I can expect (any time it goes wonky I'm blaming it on myself! Made from an old blackthorn bush with looped 1745 and using m 8 hex nuts as ammo. I've tabbed it as the forks seem quite wide and I like the idea that they prolong the life of elastics. Anyway, any input greatly appreciated! ATB Kinga
  2. An uncle of mine had a terrier called shiffer after shi' fer brains.
  3. I get the same problem from my phone mate. Always to bloody big to upload! Sounds like a decent set up anyway ATB Kinga
  4. Sounds good mate! Got any pictures?
  5. What exactly do you mean by fixed? Is that the same as neutering? ATB kinga
  6. Basically I guess what I'm asking is if you had to start again and could have any type and number what would it be? Snipped hob x2 or three intact jills or one hob one Jill both intact in separate cages? Or any other mix? ATB kinga
  7. What about as I'm not going to breed them I was thinking of neutering them. Does this affect working ability or temperament much. Is this common practice or do most of you keep them intact even if you wont breed? ATB kinga
  8. What is everyone's opinion on what a beginner should have first and why? I'm a novice and am getting two hobs because I have been told they are a bit more easy going. So my logic is that for someone who hasn't had ferrets before this is a good idea to start out this way. Am I wrong? If so then why? ATB Kinga

    Kits

Ill start off by saying sorry! This is another begging post lol. Having real trouble finding anyone in my area breeding ferrets that aren't angora and £200 so if anyone could point me in the right direction id really appreciate it. Just after a couple of hobs don't really care on colour but preferably kits. I can travel from Bristol to Haverfordwest and all along south wales and up to Hereford with no problem. Happy to pay of course. I wouldn't normally ask but I'm dead cheeky ?
  11. Just out of interest how old were you when you got your first ferret and what made you decide to get into it? We have a huge range of guys on this forum and it would be nice to hear some back stories for some of the new guys like myself. I'm still waiting to get my first pair ( if anyone knows of any in south wales then let me know ?), I've always been interested and have had a few uncles with ferrets in the past and just decided to get stuck in finally! So that's a bit of my story, what's yours? Kinga
  12. There's a guy in neath that's selling eu x on pets4homes. There might be someone here that sells them also though
  13. Well done that man! Amazing gesture. Atb kinga
  14. Cheers for the advice. I'll definitely re wire it with something decent then. Anyone got any advice on whether a hob or a Jill is best for a beginner? Or is it purely a personal choice? Thanks in advance. Kinga
  15. Hi all, I will be getting my first ferrets as soon as a couple of kits become available in my area and have been scrounging as much info as I can. Just after some professional advice as to whether a chicken coop like the one in this link would be any good to house a couple? Also any advice on hobs or jills for a beginner? Cheers all.
