  1. managed to get out with it today,!

first job was to get it zeroed so i stuck a few mags through to lead it up ,went with the trusty aa fields for the job.. my mate had to stand near the target that was lazed at 40yrd yards cos it was a mile out and id forgotten my glasses! d!ckhead

so one mag to get it on the money and this was the result

    no prob with accuracy .

this will be the bit that gets me shot :whistling:

this isn't a comparison cos there two entirely different models, it would be like comparing a 97 to a 30!

but as us twats know there are a lot of similar features so theres going to be a bit !

first off it handles great, my mate a 5year vet with a 100 ks loves it... he's got one on order and has had for ages and not even got a sniff of it yet, he's got two left handed kids who enjoy shooting but the rh sporters hard work for them!

first off the mag is not a one handed affair the mag release has to be physically held back unlike on a 100! first gripe.

the mag its-self is fiddley to load you've got to hold the switch back and make sure the cocking lever is all the way back either doing it on its side or upright as the pellet probe floats once cocked, until pushed all the way home!

this will probably become second nature after a while but at first its a bit of a pain cos the mag gets fouled and won't go in! ill say the mag fits snuggly cos its not painting to good a picture at the moment!

i think it might benefit from a strip down and a few parts greasing but should you have to do this yourself  i think not!

after reading this you ma be thinking hmmm..... but don't, this is a very well built rifle and i can see it being bullet proof, its perfect for hunters I've dragged it through hedges bashed it on gates and barbed wire all on my fist outing :icon_redface: and theres not a mark on it!

its going to get a lot more use this weekend so hopefully things will loosen up with use!

no hunting wright up cos i put in a sh!te performance and only got the one rabbit that dropped at 42yrd off the stick!

not trying to put anyone off by the way, its just not quite as refined as the one were not to compare it to!

  2. My envy of your groups is not fading very much Matt but I confess to an improvement in my groups using the trigger sticks with my TX but alas not in the same league as you yet, I will however master this bloody springer if it kills me :cray:

    Phil

are you 100% happy with your pellet choice cos they can be finicky and you may well be spot on phil and its them that are letting you down!

  3. only put a mag through just to see how it felt, it was getting late and the light wasn't good so i didn't bother trying to zero it ,

but it dose handle well moving it about it feels really comfortable if that doesn't sound too sad but thats the name of the game!

its just as quiet as the 100s and the weight is balanced well with prob more to the back which suits me its only about 60mm shorter than a full size 100 but they are two very different beasts, got it in 177 which is good cos I've loads of different pellets to test from the others

see how may pigeons it gets me tomorrow :hmm:

  7. Top class SI but please put up an honest revue of it

its likes and dislikes or yours as the case may be

looking at it its more or less the same length as the 100

I may still get one but for now im going to wait for some revues on it first this time

    atvbmac

yeah i'll be brutally honest with it!

so far all is good but the proof is in the pudding, phill hardman said the only gripe he had was a noisy safety but his was a pre production model!

this has been ironed out cos theres no klick on mine, its not the smoothest but its not been used an will prob free up after a while!

the shop i was in today would be like a wet dream for you and simon, loads and loads of s/h springers of every age and make ,loads of projects to keep mr Chippendale occupied

  8. The kids are well happy with it, it's way more manageable than a full size 100 but still to big for the boy, he should be fine off the bipod though!

Just dressing it at the moment between doing tea/homework n baths!!!

    post-102306-0-95192100-1464289059_thumb.jpeg

First impressions are good though, put a mag through,it's a days donkey ride out so needs a proper zero session but the trigger is nice very short though, it pulls up nicely and is straight on the money with no shifting about! It's well balanced and easy to handle too!

    Will know more tomorrow

  9. Yes I have the same rangefinder Mark and I think Mitch has forgotten more about NV than I will ever know but for someone like me who has never been involved in night shooting other than wildfowl on a winters night on the salt marsh, this little device looks okay for the money, I will how ever be shooting without one first to see (or not see  ) how I go on.

I wonder if Napier Power Airgun oil will do the job as I have some. Does it affect the 'O' ring with oil on the mag Mark.

    Phil

can't help with the nv phil, i use lamps!

but napier spray is fine, some lads wash there pellets and spray some in a sandwich bag then use it to give the pellets a fine coat, same affect as what mark suggests but back in the tin and ready to go!

i did a few tests with washing and lubeing a while ago and it put the fps up slightly on the crono but no major gain
