  1. I keep mine in trios in heavily planted pens that are 10ft by 10ft with covered roofs.Although I did have the golden male free range during the day for awhile last year after breeding season but he is now back in ready for this year. Heres a few Amherst chicks from last year.

Went out ferreting for the first time today,was abit of a bust but enjoyable none the less.I had originally intended to take my 2 jills out but after checking them noticed both are in season so instead took one of the hobs up to a patch behind the house.There was plenty of activity,fresh digging and droppings.After getting the nets down and collar on the hob he entered the first hole only to come out again immediately.This continued for a good half hour with him not going more than a foot into each hole so after 2 hours on this warren we moved on to a small bank were the same thing happened wi

  9. Thanks for the replies.Was given this Hob today and going to get him vesectomised next week as my jills look to be coming into season so the ferreting trip at the end of the week might be off.

Went for a look at the field at the back of the house to see if there was anything going on.Found some nice warrens along the fence line and a larger mound,lots of cover but shouldn't be to much of a problem.Went to see and farmer who agreed to let me ferret.really happy with the result as ive only just starting so thrilled to have some permission to get going on.

  18. Thanks for the responses guys.Went out today to have a look at one of the warrens I have access to.A large bank with a decent amount of holes only issue is the cover but thats easily fixed. Another thing,how do you all feed rabbits to your ferrets.I have always cut it up but can you feed it whole?
  19. New here and just wanted to share with you my ferrets.Hopefully I can start working them in a few weeks time.Currently I have 2 hobs an albino and a silver.
