  1. well me al & calum 6 ferrets 2 dogs 3 long nets and about 50 purse nets the day started the day about 830 first bit about 50 yrds long so put up 100yrdr and 2 mabe 40 yrders and some purse nets then went and done a few we sets in a small bit of trees first set bang one bunny then another then along the road a wee bit and got another 2 then onto the bit we had netted up first so 3 ferrets in then mins later one bolts and gets its fredom into the sets we had just done :oops: then another bolts int the net then ferrets in for a while so out comes the mk3 found them at 4ft but ground

  3. we had one slip the long net went into a 6 holer when we had a look decided to do it and 3 bolted and 1 slipped the net not sure if it was the same one if it waas it was 1 lucky bunny most of the time i will do the set unless its under tree roots that i dont think i could dig easy

  9. when there are too many young about unless you are keen digger or doing it for £££££££ you might get young earlier in some bits than others but its up to the individual theres a old country tale every month that had an R in it but that has gone out the window with global warming

  12. cheers lads battery was reading good on green but at the bottom of the green on the tester ! finder battery changed it with another and is fine now cheers it started doing it on one set thought there was something under the ground when it started to do it
  13. has anyone else had this problem it just started to do it the other day and was still doing it at home when it got too about 5ft it starts below that it just beeps as usual
  14. backfilling is a must you could lose your permission even worse if some other c t has been there and you get kicked of because of them make sure you tell the land owner if you dig you will backfill livestock can break legs by stepping in a unfilled hole
  15. no have both but it was the mk3m that was using start squealing above 5ft on the locate like the mk1 s did when you got near electrical supplys etc it just started doing it the day strange

  18. never used one or felt the need if your digging for the ferret then you should be right onto the tunnel if using the finders right but thats my opinion its bad enough without carrying any more weight
  19. if you go to buy one make sure there is 100% bagging in them i bought some deben ones year ago 100yarder and only had 50% bagging and as TS says they just bounce off so i cut them down to about 60 yrsd to get 100% + bagging you only get what you pay for
  20. well the weather was okay yest so away we went at 8.30 me al and the 4 stinkers 40 nets and 2 long nets went the nite before with the lamp for a recce seen about 12 rabbits so first few sets nowt looked used but nowt at home then a wee 3 holer ferret in then after 5 mins bang a rabbit was a bit lean so next few sets mabe 20 yrds long each a few nets down and the long nets put up but nowt out of both rabbits must of been out t5hen the farmer comes along but told him i had permmision from the estate so he was okay so moved to some fields that i had never done before two hedges
