    It’s a good little springer, welsh willy done his magic on it a few years back now and it shoots good. I now just use my 97k in 177 which is heavier but I just prefer it.

    I’ll probably just hold on to it, I can’t see it being with that much, it’s a mk6. It can stay under the bed and can always be used to beat burglars with. Thanks everyone.

    Hi all been a while since posting on here but been having a sort out and thinking of getting rid of my bsa airsporter in 22. It’s a used field gun so not a minter but have no idea what it might be worth. Any help appreciated.

    Done the chooks again tonight a few got away but did get this beast. Funny because after I had shot it all the chickens started attacking it too

    Few acres of pasture with a large chicken coop, few of the chooks got out last night so I was chasing the bloody things round the field felt like shooting them it would of been a lot easier. ????

    It's a 1.77, I've also got a airsporter in 22 which I occasionally use.

    Just popped down to feed the chooks for my mum so thought I'd take the old hw97 with me, 1/2 hour two fat rats still plenty more to go.

    Finally managed to get one ! My step father manufactured me a muzzle end cap out of engineer grade hardened plastic, fits and looks superb. Am going to get a batch made up so if anyone is interested please get in touch.

    So, been up to the fasteners near me in search of a plug with the thread m22x1. Apparently it is a very rare thread size and would struggle to find one. Next step, my step father works at a engineering factory and is going to try and mill a cap suitable. Soon as I get it I'll post it up. All going good I might get a batch made up so if anyone is interested your have to let me know.

    Thanks for the info all, tree I'll let you know, is 1.5 too big? There is a fasteners place up the road from us so I'm gunna pop in there tomorrow and see what they have got. I'll keep you posted.

    So sorry if I haven't explained this very well. One picture is of the Weihrauch silencer which was fitted to the end of the rifle when I bought it ( in place of the original end cap! ). Second pic is of the end of the rifle barrel with the missing end cap ( the bit I want! ). I have spoke to Weihrauch again this morning, although a language barrier as they are a German company but they did seem to know what I was on about, they have informed me that the end cap thread is M22 x 1mm ?

    Sorry did reply to Rez but it went through email and didn't come up on here, as mentioned I haven't got a adaptor and the denial thread on the end of the barrel seems to be bigger than 1/2 inch! Does anyone no what size it is. I think my only option is to get one made, they seem to rarer than hens teeth.

    Hey and thanks for your reply, the thread on the end of the hw97 is bigger than 1/2 inch, you can get an adaptor to go from hw97 to 1/2 inch so you can install 1/2 inch silencers but they stick out a bit. The original cap is male thread and when in sit flush with the end of the barrel.

    Hey all, I posted this a while back but I thought I would try again and get some fresh input. When I bought my second hand hw97k it came with an additional silencer fitted, as this make the thing a lot longer than I would like I have taken it off by simply unscrewing it. The problem I have is I don't have the end cap to screw in the place of the silencer, I have contacted hull, chambers Weihrauch And none of them stock it as a part. Has anyone out there got one for sale or does anyone have any idea where I can get one. Cheers all

    Hi all , I am new to the forum so bare with me, I have been on the hunt excuse the punt! For a end cap for my hw97. When I bought the rifle it had a silencer fitted to the fixed silencer of the barrel. Now I want to remove the extended one to make the barrel shorter but when remover it seems I need a end cap for the barrel. I have been in touch with several gun shops and hull cartridges as well and no one seems to do them. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know a method to sort it. Thanks all Mark.
