hi lads ,just wondering about the new bellman and flint box,is it worth buying

used one last week they are very accurate and no sound but the box is like having a red brick in your pocket at £385 i'll stick to the old 1 :thumbs:

theres a big difference the new box you can used in feet aswell as meters and very big and heavy

It was made to a larger size on purpose.So that in wet and cold conditions when its covered in mud and your hands are freezing cold it is a lot easier to use.The software is much better its more accurate and none of the numbers fluctuating.The accuracy is superb,no more digging past the tube.Just straight down onto the dogs back.Its something that you will realise once used on numerous digs.A far superior piece of kit in my opinion.

but just wondering is that a casing covering the box ,is that why its so big?

Honestly think that they are an overpriced item ,they have a service to provide but updating them every year to a newer model is beyond any working mans purse strings

will baf take an old box and coller back for a service or do i have to bite the bullet and by a new one
