how long to hang game?

hello i quite new to shooting having only been doing dog work and ferreting for years.on saturday i went rough shooting and shot a pheasant 2 teal and a wood cock just wondering how long i should hang them before i cook them.cheers for any replys

Teal-do them now.........pheasant-do them next saturday............woodcock-do it next saturday but leave guts in :thumbs:

Just cleaned a brace of pheasants which were hanging for 12 days.

This time of year I will hang for 1/2 weeks.

its down to the weather really at this time of year i would hang them at least 4 days up to 10 days, :thumbs:

every one has differant tastes you will get to know your through exprimenting
woodcock 4 to 10 days for me plucked a gizzed removed the roast with bacon and seasoned butter on brest 30 mins take out oven and remove entrails mash up and eat on toast mmmmm
eat woodcock with mash spuds and savoy cabbage :thumbs:

I don't bother hanging pheasants. I just skin them as soon as I get home!
