  1. Getting real, and I accept what you say walshie. Every semi I've seen will cycle 65mm shells perfectly when run in And yes Ianm, it is the issue in getting multi 65mm versus 2 70 or 75's in the mag????? Doesn't seem I difficult calculation does it??, so why can't they find the tube length that permits 2 x 75's and stops 3 x 65's?????????????? I know the answer, it's called standardisation. You can tailor these guns for any cartridge of short length and low, (2) capacity to exclude longer, but they won't be EU friendly, this positive side of EU regs,
  2. Your never going to get five years for it unless you are in a nightclub with a pistol. I have known of several people getting between nine months and two years for possesing unlicensed shotguns. One bloke who had a license but had three off ticket .410's aswell was fined £1200 and his license revoked. BUT why risk anything, if you have a genuine need for a high capacity shotgun ie: crop protection just apply for a section 1 and you will get it no problem. Several years ago my son bought a Baikal mp153 and by accident we discovered you could put three in the mag. I took it back
  3. You buy a new shotgun, 12g semi. You have a standard SC It's specified for 2.5, 2.75 and 3" shells You find you can load 1 up the spout and 3 x 2 1/2" jobbies into the mag, will fire all 4. For discussion. Don't shoot me I'm only the m............
  4. People make light of the .22. Given it was the favoured weapon of the mafia hitman due to being almost silent when "silenced", and proven to be capable of killing an elephant at point blank and a human at over 440yards, guess what will happen.
  5. Simply don't need it, have fox listed against both my .22 and hmr, the ruger and scope combination was getting to heavy to hump about the countryside, (I getting to the old git stage) so I was just using it at the range, and I'm getting to tight to spend a quid a round shooting bullseyes. So it is on ticket, it was listed in another thread at £125, then reduced I'm now open to offers. It's unmarked and dated early 2013, no more than 50 rounds through it Phone now back on so 07514494265 should get me http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/315391-wildcat-predator-mod/ and it
  6. Given up on centrefire, so mint or as new mod for sale . 50 shots and unmarked. Proofed for all sub .308 cal Best offer gets it, start at £50, what are they new?, £200?? I'll pick offers up from here. Bri

  8. Nearly new and unmarked Predator 8. Only a year old and had less than 50 223 rounds through it. Gun now sold, buyer had no mod slot Comes with purple exit end and proofed for 223 although the same end and all other construction remains common to 22-250 and 243, the proof house just stamp them with whichever gun cal it is fitted to according to the manufacturer. Must have slot for it on ticket. Looking for £125 01246 852420 or 07514494265 Derbys/Notts border
  9. Bumped up to show added info
  10. ok, took it and had it appraised at mansfield gun store today. based on that my figures are very low. ring them for thier opinion. gun; £400, total package £600 fixed. at that price,, given mint condition, it's a giveaway the point is 2 fold, you will not find a better 1 even if you buy new, and that will cost you a grand for the bare gun alone, plus you have the option of matched kit
  11. I'm going to have to let this go as I simply don't use it. Hardly used and virtually unmarked. Fitted with Tasco 6 x 24 x 50mm scope, 1 of the proper ones when the Japs owned the company. Came out of the draw after sitting for over 10 years in the box. Box still here Moderator is a Wildcat predator, again as new with box. Trigger job done by local gunsmith Sighted in at Carton Moors 100 mtr range, I shoot crap and got 1 1/2" groups @ 100yds, guy next to me shot 1 holers This gun is indistinguishable from new, it will sell and I am being very reasonable on price, which is negotiable
  12. Keeps losing zero isn't much of a description to be honest. as the guy above asks, what exactly is it doing. Are you zeroing at the end of a range session when it's hot, and then finding it's moved when cold??? What size group are you trying to achieve? Two dead calms shooting day on the trot are unusual, you may also be chasing the wind
  13. I went to the range a few weeks ago to sight in a different scope on my 223. It's amazing how bad habits creep in, I didn't realise until the guy that was watching me, an instructor as it happened, pointed out my fingers were touching the barrel as I shot from the bench rest. That makes a difference with a fully floated barrel like the 1 have and you do also. Their isn't much recoil at all with the 223 but some folks do flinch at it. A young guy I introduced to .22 shooting a few years ago got himself a 223 but before I even knew it had gone back to the gunny and he took out an HMR. Not
  14. It was just about bang on 12 mid day, blazing sunshine but it's so heavily wooded and in a gorge they are often about during daylight. The last 1 I got in there was just about in the same place, if I hadn't shot it with the .22 at about 15yds I'm sure it would have walked right up to me. I bought aaa and bb in 2 3/4", always keep just a couple on the belt. A bit annoying ais I then sold the only non 3" magnum gun I had so could have gone 3" anyway And to the other poster, when my farmer says his ducks are getting taken, every fox I shoot for him helps my position, It was a dog as it
