was out the other day and seen some rabbits by the edge so i lay down and they came running out playing and came with in 2 m of me hahah good laugh lol

they was that close i aimed low and it stilll went over will get them next time

?? You missed at 2 meters ? Feckin ell , i would have jumped on em from there . Mind you , i sit sometimes between two fields ( 30 yds out from the joint corner ,if you get what i mean ) i tend to look into one field as they always come there , but Saturday , i had a couple come from the other field to within 10 feet of me , i heard them first rustling in the leaves , then one came out right infront of me , lasted about 5 seconds and bang but if they think there safe , its quite suprising how close they get . I got one the other day, when i was laying in the long grass between 2 fields, i was watching the space where they normally come out and play. Id been laying there for like 15mins and no luck. So i sat up and had a look around and nearly had a stroke, there was a rabbit sitting 12 foot behind me right next to the entrance to a burrow. Massive thing. So I took aim, and bang, nice headshot at 12foot! lol.

 

Ive lost count of the number of times tho, when ive been walking along the hedge row and a rabbit has popped straight out in front of me at my feet, sh!t itself when it saw me and legged it down the field. Its times like that i wish id had my shotgun rather than the air rifle!

 

Another funny one is, when me & a mate were zero`ing our rifles at a 35yard target in the field a few weeks back and im looking through the scopes and suddenly realise 2 or 3 rabbits have come out to play right behind the target! In fairness they were out of range of the air rifle, but shows you how little the noise bothered them that day!

 

Best has to be when we were lamping and we shot at a bunny at about 30 yards or so. He fell to the floor and didnt move, so we walked over and when we got within 1 foot of it, the rabbit suddenly "came back alive" and legged it like linford christie accross the field. We both jumped about 6 foot as we had assumed it had been hit, but it was just messing with us. Gave us both a right shock tho!
