Guest hyperion Posted May 3, 2009 Report Share Posted May 3, 2009 i went out at half five this morning to walk blaine up through my permission, we were walking up a hedge line when as you do i called him back to me and gave him a load of fuss, put my hand in my pocket to give him a treat and found two loose snares, hmmm why not, so i quickly set them on a coulple of runs under the fence finished our walk and went away home! any how lunch time rolls around and as id arranged to go crow shooting with my mate tomorrow i thought id check it was ok with the farmer as we were planning to set up fairly close to the yard and while i was doing that i could have a quick look see at my snares! got up to the farm and found this this waiting for me....... he was still alive when i got there so i quikly necked him before taking the picture, then took him out of the snare, hocked him and carried him up to the yard to see gareth, was quite handy to show up with a bunny in hand as i like to be seen to be doing my job! so after id cleared it with gareth for shooting tomorrow i set off on my way home stopping in the field where i caught the rabbit to sit in the hedge for a few minutes and have a smoke and take the lights out of the rabbit! id just finnished gutting it when a heard kids voices shouting and yelling from the top field, when i stood up and looked behind me theres a bloke, his mrs and six kids all on push bikes comming tearing down the slope of the field through the young wheat towards the gate way that joins the two fields putting my knife away i grabbed my rabbit and marched down the field and caught them just as they were comming off the wheat and gave them a pollite but stern earfull about private land, trespass, on going pest control ect mostly directed at the bloke but when i looked at his mrs and the daughter i could see their faces were ghostly white and the womans face was quickly turning a lovely shade of green! :sick: :sick: :sick: a quick glance down at my side and i knew why she looked like she was going to puke! first i saw my hand, red almost to the wrist with fresh rabbit blood, then the rabbit its self open from croch to neck front legs soaked in blood and finally blaine, blood all over his muzzle and head with his nose inside the rabbits chest happily and noisily slurping up the blood that had pooled inside it by then i really did think the poor woman was going to heave so i quickly pointed them towards the nearest gate way onto the road and reminded them to stick to the foot paths next time and went to one of the water troughs to try and was the worst of the blood from me and the dog before i walked home! dog only knows what those poor people must have thought, me and blaine must have looked like mad mcrabbit killer and his vampire hound from hell! cheers hyperion Quote Link to post Share on other sites
