andyfr1968 772
OK now let me try to get this straight in my head. So people but barrel weights on the end of spring rifles to reduce the barrel flip. Change springs for gas rams, to try to eliminate the recoil and get rid of the twang etc ....... in other words make them more like ........ well........like a PCP. Beats me. I had quite a few springers in my time and don't want another , just like I would not want wooden disc brakes on my car just because they don't rust. I am sure that there is something that I don't understand about the virtues of a spring rifle but IMHO if you use a pump so you can't run out of air, a PCP can do everything that a springer can only thing is, it does it better. ATB Michael No, no, wise one! Missed the point, you have. It's not about makeing them like a PCP, it's all about makeing the most of what you've got. Once the inherant problems of a spring gun have been addressed, mainly recoil and vibration, you've one! You're still quids in compared to a PCP and once it's sorted, that's it. Job done. No matter how much you spend on a pre-charge, you're still stuck to a pump or an air cylinder each time you've fired a few pellets. I know it's each to their own. It'd be a very dull world if we all liked the same stuff!! Cheers. Andy. Quote Link to post

Guest Scuba1
Ha scuba you may be turning me towards PCPs now i can only shoot accuratly up to 20yrds with a springer but using my cousins rapiz 7 its a dream i couldent work out if i had fired but there on the tiny red hole 30 yrds away was a nice hole. I like springers very much and have taken many quarry with mine. I have to say though a PCP may be in order to get some more bunnys at the extra 10 yrds of my springer. It also kind of gaurentees a kill incase i mis judged a distance and 20yrds is actually 25 etc. Any one of you springer lovers want a custom Bsa supersport in exchange for a PCP? Yes go away from the dark side or on pot noodles you will live. ATB Michael Quote Link to post
shaun sale 0
i guess its called progress...........who would want to go back to VHS after sky plus !!!! there will always be an arguement over which is best and i guess its down to personal choice. they both have a place....but given the choice i would chose a pcp. there is a pcp coming on the market this year which has a built in pump and i think that will change air gunning as we know it !!!! cheers sean hi sean3513 is that the gun by fx your talking about. andyfr1968 772
Wow! Is that a self contained gun that needs no special gear to run it? Sounds a bit like a springer..... Ta! Quote Link to post
