ferret coat

I just hand stripped my lurcher and thought it would be a good idea to do the ferrets. The fur came out by the hand full and they are now a different colour. Not sure it was a good idea. Anyone else out there do it?

if the animals going through its moult it will come away easily, i wouldnt do it unless its just loose hair from the moult , the coat will be generally darker this time of year & when the animal bulks out in the latter part of this year leave the coat as its going to need the extra thick coat for winter

buy some waxing strips from boots and plaster the ferret in them.... rip them off and you will get a nice bald ferret

I do mine as it gets warmer there scracthing all the time so it must be uncomfortable for them it only takes five minutes and it comes out easily enough
