IanB 0
Whats your opinion on the 120-2 traps? I've used them and personally, they do the job, but they do nothing a 116 can't apart from being more fiddly with the double springs also the 116 has a higher killing force.. I know their both legal for mink/rabbit over here.. I take it you just prefer them compared to the single spring variants.. Quote Link to post

The biggest draw is the price I can buy the traps direct from the states and even with the dollar exchange rate at the moment they still work out with shipping at least £3.00 cheaper per trap than a 116. Both traps do not generally take prisoners but at the end of the day it all depends how the animal enters the trap and at what speed, I have been using a mix of Kania's, 120-2's and 116's at this contract and out of the 69 killed so far only two were foul caught in bodygrip traps. The kania's have had no miss catches with them placed upside down on the tree and every squirrel was caught in exactly the same place on the body - slightly diagonal form the neck to the shoulder. For trapping squirrels up trees the bodygrips have been 1st class and being able to buy several bodygrip traps for the price of 1 kania makes economical sense. 120-2 Quote Link to post
