Spent Cartridges/Rounds

Hi everyone, I have a question to ask of you and I apologise if this is off topic or annoys any members here.

 

I am a Forensic Science student studying in Leicester and I am working on a portfolio of firearms evidence, I would ideally like to photograph impressions left in spent rounds such as marks left by the firing pin, striations, extractor claw marks etc.

 

My question is would anybody perhaps have any spent cartridges/projectiles that they would normally dispose of, that I would be able to use? Ideally I'd like a small selection - shotgun, rifle, centrefire, rim-fire. Anything to give more range.

 

If this is at all possible, I would pay any postage and a small price for whatever anyone could spare. Please contact me if you think you could help.

All you need to do is look up your local clay shoot and you will find thousands of spent shotgun cartridges they are eager to get rid of...likewise find your nearest Rifle Club/Range and go collect as many as they will let you have!!!

Have a walk down to your local firing range , or claypigeon shoot ground..im sure they guys there will be more than willing to help your research , too

Or you could have a rumage around in the footwell of my landrover..........theres enough empy cases in there for a life times investigation

Thankyou everyone. I'm pleased to say that because of how helpful you have all been I should have more than enough to include in my project. Thankyou to those who contacted me via pm too. My local shooting ground just got back to me saying I am welcome to visit and collect what I would like from there too so I'm over the moon! I should be able to get them at the end of the month
