little wolf hunt

Very good Dan,

so tell us,are the hounds use to flush them out into the open and then your coyote hounds used to run them down and catch then, most hounds use a fair bit of energy killing its quarry so i know what you mean when you say it takes a lot out of your dogs,so thats why you need to keep your dogs fairly fit,

KEEP UP THE HUNTING AND LOOK FORWARD TO MORE ARTICLES AND PICTURES FROM YOU AND YOUR SPORT

Yes, the hounds basically flush them to the yellow dog and then he is in the back of my pickup and I am driving around the sections waiting for the hounds to push the coyote out. When he sees the coyote, he will start screaming and I can drive up and let the coyote cross a road or whatever and slam on my brakes and he will bail out the side of the bed and run them down. The coyotes are usually about 150 meters to 250 meters out and he usually will catch them at the 800 meter mark or so depending on the coyote.

I just got this yellow dog. He makes it way too easy really but its still fun. I used to run them down with the hounds using 2 or 3 running hounds and then find them bayed up fighting the coyote and then go in and dispatch the coyote with a small caliber pistol or rifle. Hope all this makes sense to ya.

So your sitting in your truck and let those retreivers go, and drive around and wait till the coyote runs out and drive the Stag hound as close as you can get and let him go? That sounds like fun. Now I get the beer part.
