Guest anonymous
Im looking for a cross of dog that will catch rabbits with ease but not too big as some sport will take place in woodlands but there will aslo be the odd field and open land and i like the look of the broken coated dogs thanks Why does it need to be small to work in woodlands? louis123 12
well i presumed so..so they will be more nimble around the trees i thought a smaller dog would be more suitable as they are more agile that a bigger cross...maybe i thought wrong :S Quote Link to post
SWIN17 0
Would go for the bedlington whippet mate. Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
I would want an extremely fast rabbit dog. It will probably look like a whippet/greyhound I guess. Quote Link to post
louis123 12
the problem that ive heard about pure whippets or greyhounds or a bit of both is that they have very thin skin that is very liable to cuts and a man i was speaking to today said he had lots of greyhounds come in to his kennels and smash the tip of the tails on the walls cos they were so thin and when they wag them they jsut crack Quote Link to post
villebones 4
Dont own one myselfBut I'd say they would have pretty good stamina from the beddie side Heres some more pictures of a wider variety of the crosses Sorry mate Must have forgotten the link http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...=beddie+whippet Quote Link to post
