Bosun11 537
Could be just about anything, it's better to know whats in a terrier as far back as you can go but as said before, if it grafts and grafts well and has proven itself over time, then..... Why not! Sealyham blood 'could' be a possiblity but the only ones I know that were workers were (maybe still are?) bred by MR and CR about 20 years since in the NE and they kept them very close. Wheaton is growing ever more popular but if the type goes back a few years it would become less likely, as lads who kept 'em, kept 'em close. Before the White Lakey explosion in the mid 's, Bedlingtons were a popular cross to Lakeland types, plenty of Lakies were seen at shows back then sporting Beddie top knots and linty undercoats (i owned one) but the boom in shows seen dogs stripped out to what the owners want to portray. My guess would be a mix of all (including Russell) but with a strong Beddie throw back..... as I said, only a guess Quote Link to post
