shottyscotty 3
set out at 2 this afternoon and set up a 2 sided hid really quick and within minites i had two high birds in the bag and a sitter using eley high flyer 5 30gr and then after a while i had used them and switched to eley realtrea 6.5 30 gram, to start with i shot at another sittter even closer than the last with 3/4 choke and missed and then a second on with my other barrel and pricked it. after a while i found myself getting frustrated at missing a lot and then a rook came over and naild it. so at this point im thnking its got to be the cartridges are dodge . and then i got a right and a left on rooks. so i decided to try differant lead on the pigeon but could hit any. has anybody used thes cartridges and had trouble or is it just me and does any know what speed they fire at compared to hi flyers Quote Link to post
Sterry 0
i always use 5 on pigeon and find them good (when i hit the blitters) 6s in my opinion just lack a little something, i beleive game bore clear pigeons are pretty good they do a 30g 5 which seems to work Quote Link to post

the Verminator 0
you wont be able to notice a differnece in speed unless you are shooting at targets a long, long way off or if they are subsonics, which i dont think the Eleys are. it could be a confidence thing, you might be less confident then before using differnet cartridges. if the same happens again, dont look what cartridges you are putting in the gun, just put them in and shoot, that way you wont know what you are shooting, that way you realy will see if it is the cartridges or not. btw i use 30gram 6's and dont have any probles, except when using fiber wads.
