just thought i would show you a pic of LAD my whippetxbeddy but as you can see from the pic hes defo got collie in there have asked ect and they have said theres aint any collie there mmmmm?

hes a cracking dog he jumped a 4ft stream today without a run up and he is quick of the mark as i found out to day when walking he also turns very sharp im not doing much training at the mo i just want him to enjoy being a puppy but we do go through all the basics

if you look at his hind quaters you can see long curly grey hair it was like that over his whole body but now coming out when i brush

any advice on getting him entered as hes my first and would be very helpful

nice looking dog, simon whitehead,as one of this cross called maud, they make excellent ferreting and lamping dogs.my advice would be break him to livestock, get him to jump and retreive obviously break him to ferrets, and when you think he his ready to take out then do so.but dont expect to much to soon, have plenty of patience has there are always setbacks along the way, dont push him to much and all being well in time you will have a good dog that will serve you well.

Very nice dog mate :good: How old is he? Same as what colliejohn said concentate on obediant training, break to live stock, etc sitting and staying, retreiving, jumping fences, finding things in long grass and bringing straight back to hand and letting him play with your ferrets they have got to be good mate if working together...if you want to go and buy a vid called " perdys progress" by dave slate I think that it is surname its something like that that will help you alot if you watch it :good::good::good:
