ANY INFO WOULD BE GOOD THANKS BUCK Quote Link to post
coldweld 65
In Short you can not be 100% sure . The dam is your best you have to look at a small dam and a average pup from the litter should give you a small dog. A good working type should be on the small side anyway as large usually means show blood. Ask about on here for people with small springers for the lines and then take pot luck like the rest of use. My last springer was small in height but built like a staffy, my latest is 7 months and small and up to now athletic build but who knows what she will be at a year ! But i don't care as she's mine and great !!!!!!!! ANY INFO WOULD BE GOOD THANKS BUCK People often talk about Dog Lines I dont keep any dogs just bitches so you can say I have a bitch line, all my Bitches are small cocker in size soft in temp but fast as feck.My Bitches are all related from our first bitch which is now a grt grt grandmother . The first litter we ever had we used a Druimmuir dog Finn a powerfull traditionall large springer ftw with the drive and temp to match.not one of the pups ever had his size or his looks, but they did have his nose and speed. Ive used a leggy Ftch which again none of the litter looked liked the sire in size.. Personally its a springer thing for me as i have cockers as well in the kennels ,but the ESS is my favorurite breed and will allways remain so.. ATB which ever you choose Regards Steve I Quote Link to post
